  Active Witnesses...... lets get a head count....

  just wondering out there, who is still active?

  makes most of the meetings, all the conventions, comments, is still active socially with the congregation,out in service, hall building etc.

  just wondering, because we know who are the elders, or recently former elders and i usually seek their posts for some interesting comments... .

  A few years ago one of my aunts bought an ooriginal copy of this book on ebay. She paid $1,350.00 for it.

  Hellrider, I agree with your comment:

  There is no way in heaven or hell that there would ever be a mass suicide in the JW-cult. It`s just not gonna happen......

  However, I also believe that the mindset is there. Witnesses follow blindly whatever the Governing Body tells them, usually without question. Don't forget that they allow their children and loved ones to die just because the Governing Body says that it is Biblically correct not to accept blood and afterwards these brothers are certain that Jehovah is pleased by this sacrifice.

  Is it so far fetched to believe that if phrased correctly and presented with "evidence" that Jehovah wanted them to, that the witnesses would drink the kool-aid? I believe that most of them would, perhaps not all, but a goodly number.

  Internet fraud is a reality in the modern world and that is why some have suggested safeguards. It is a valid concern.

  Rebel8, I certainly agree with your statement. Also, while it is not my intention to beat a dead horse, I just don't understand how internet fraud enters into this. Are you saying that this might be a scam of some sort? We know SHUNNED FATHER. We know that Lawrence Hughes is SHUNNED FATHER. He came on this Board and gave us his personal address which is easy to check. We read about his lawsuit in the newspapers. Where is the scam and how is it being perpetrated?

  I am not trying to be facetious. I am perhaps not as clever as you or some other people on this Board and I just do not see where the scam is. I am truly asking for you to educate me. Thank you.

  No one is being asked to give away their life savings or anything.

  I agree, Clam. I have read posts where SHUNNED FATHER is asked to post on this forum more often, that he should set up a trust for the money and all types of other activities that he should engage in to insure that the money is protected.

  These are not bad suggestions in and of themselves, but I think we should all realize that SHUNNED FATHER is very busy with this lawsuit and all the things that it entails. He has little time to post here or to do all the things that other people want him to do. My goodness, can't we give this guy a break!

  If you feel uncomfortable donating large amounts of money, then I believe that donating a small amount of money that you are comfortable with would also help.

  Please, please let us not discourage anyone from sending money in any shape, manner or form that they feel comfortable with.

  I do not know SHUNNED FATHER but in this case I am willing to go out on a limb, to take a chance and contribute just on his word.

  I recall many times in the Kingdom Hall when the PO would ask that we send money to the branch for some reason and I would contribute, even though I would not recognize a member of the Governing Body if they passed me on the street.

  I am willing to take a leap of faith and help this poor man in his cause. Sometimes we just have to trust our fellow man, to realize that their are good people out there and that everyone is not trying to cheat you.

  i need your help to continue my lawsuit against the watchtower society and the doctor who the watchtower society arranged for to give my daughter arsenic.

  the wts lawyer, hlc members and the doctor deceived bethany and lied to her, convincing her that arsenic would cure her.

  bethany was convinced that arsenic could cure her and was curing her.
