Lets see....we have an alien dog named Buster who is half Chiuahuah and half Doxie...he is a strange looking little guy but a mama's boy and very loving to me and some of my kids. He is a big sissy and a big barker. Then we have a sweet little girl who is half Pomeranian and half heifer. We just adopted her from the dog pound and she is a full figured gal but so good and so sweet. Then we have our kitty Sasha, and just as her name implies she is a princess and wants to be treated as such.

by breeze indon't you hate those radio commercials for automobile dealers that scream at you very loudly, and always say the have the cheapest deals in town.
i also hate it when the say that their prices start at invoice cost.....do they think all consumers are just total idiots..... .

Breeze, I think yer bird is sick, ya ought to take it to the vet...ewww! I dislike tomato worms very much they are so fat and juicy when you squish them. I dislike rudeness, and judgemental attitudes. I dislike doggie poo, especially when your at a picnic and the grass is a bit wet and you step in it barefoot and it squishes inbetween yer toes. I dislike little children who are annoying and bratty and mean. I usually steer them towards the doggie poo.

I am a newbie too, but I am expecting the elders at my door anytme now. It would be nice to have them over for Monday night football and a few beers....hope the wives don't mind....and right as they are ready to leave I could hand them my denuded pagen pole and ask them to curb it for me......I think thats a plan!

The society always goes into the descriptions and belifs of the Sadduces (spelling?) and the Pharisees, but I don't ever remember them publishing anything as to the backround of Jesus. If anyone has any good info I would find it interesting to see what you have found.

Habitat for Humanity JW Style
by Kenneson inon tonight's evening news was a story about jw's from the southeast coming to a town in georgia to build a house for a needy jehovah's witness.
seems that this is recently formed program.
it's a type of quick-build, kind of along the lines of the kingdom hall builds.

This sounds interesting. I am in the same boat, a single mom with three kids and a husband who has abandoned us ( he is still in good standing by the way! Sexist pigs! ) and I never recieved any help from my congragation. I did however recieve food from a Mormon neighbor from their food bank, and another organization paid my rent and a kindly person bought my children bikes, shoes and clothes. When I told a sister this she exclaimed it was such a blessing from Jah...well it didn't come from his organization, but from the ones that the society condems...so whats up with that? I have found more love and concern for my family from outside the org. than inside. Sorry about that...I guess I am still taking care of my issues!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I sure appreciate it. Well Dorothy, I aint in Kansas anymore! Heeheehee! I really don't care what the elders say or do, I am not hiding my life from anyone. If they want to come and visit thats cool, I am going to insist that they dress causually and have a few beers with me...especially if it is Monday night football. One thing I have found out since I have been out is that my religon and my spirituality have nothing to do with each other. Like I said in my first posting, I am looking into a lot of things and isn't it funny that the society has such a soiled past that they never come clean with when you study! Anyway thanks again for all the welcomes and advice.

Hello Everyone!
I am new here. I have been looking for a place like this. Seems pretty cool. I am about 1.5 years inactive and have no plans to go back. I have been looking into other things though and using my God given brain to find out things on my own....."making sure of all things"....don't ya know!!!! I was a JW for about 18 years. My kids and I did the Xmas thing, just for fun to see what it was like. We had a blast. Ran into one of the cong. elders at the market yesterday and he said, "Oh, hi. We (the brothers) need to come and visit you soon". Well, I am thinking they have not visited me once since I left, why now? Heehee. I figure if they show up we will have a delightful conversation! Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.
