Not invited

i am alone at home tonight.

my wife and children are busy having dinner and 'spiritual association' with an elder and his wife.. i wasn't invited, even though i am not da or df, just inactive.

and although i've made my position clear in that i'm not interested anymore i've never made any trouble really.. i didn't think it would hurt but it does.

(((((((((((((((((dmouse)))))))))))))))))) It always hurts when mean thoughtless people do things like this. The cong. I used to be associated with in Southern Oregon (LB you know what I mean! ) has a bunch of mean azzholes in it. The members are always quick to take sides when there is any type of marital problem, kid problem or any problem. A really good friend and I used to be the only single sisters with kids in the cong. noone ever invited us over to any gatherings or anything. (even when I was dancing the pioneer polka) So this sister and I and our kids went everywhere together, did all our recreational stuff together and what did the cong. do? Gossiped that we were lesbians. When I remarried things turned around and we started to be invited out but it always felt like we were being scrutinized in one way or another. Where I live now, since 1999 the cong. here is not very warm. My kids and I only had two friends in the whole cong. and when I had a lot of problems they were never around. I was not looking for a hand out from anyone, just someone to give a hug and maybe just validate that I was working hard and things would be ok, but none of that ever happened. Can you imagine what it feels like to only be able to feed your kids top ramen and peanut butter sandwiches......and the elders never do anything to help you, but while you are out in a car group you get to hear two sisters talk about how they went shopping and bought several bags of groceries for a new bible study who had not recieved their welfare that month in a timely way? Lots of hard things and heart aches associated with the b'org. I stoped going in 2000 but attended the memorial for that year and the next...no more. I have had it.

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry dmouse....I came here to offer a hug and ended up venting...again!!!

Do Doctors Play God?

i just read an article about a baby born at prematurely at 26 weeks and the doctor who tried to save him.

the question was asked, should this baby be saved?

the child was born at 26 weeks, (14 weeks early) with one kidney missing, a partial esophagus, no anus, tracheal hole, malformed, exposed spinal cord, multiple abnormalities of the heart.

It is a hard question to answer. I have never been in that type of a situation where the infant had so many disabilitys. I guess I would probabley see how strong the infant was. Babies who have a lot of things wrong with them sometimes have a great will to live despite the disabilities. Some babies are not fighters and give up on their own. Its so hard to say because there are so many variables to consider as well. I think I would do what I could to help my child to live, but if the baby became too weak, or did not respond to what may be considered appropriate treatment I then would have to say goodbye and let my baby die with the dignity and respect it deserves. If the doctor wanted to do some type of treatment that I did not think was appropriate, and the doctor decided to get a court order against me, then I would be prepared to take my infant out of the hospital and flee.

My son was born with a blood disorder and began to die hours after he was born. He was a fighter tho and pulled through. It took three weeks of hospitilaization in the NEO NATAL unit before he was out of the woods. At the time I was a big time B'org babe and didn't want him to have a transfusion. I was prepared to flee with my son when the doctor said she would give him one more day to get better and if he did not improve she was on her way to get a court order. Well, he did get better, thanks to a med wise nurse who suggested a medication that she had seen used by other physicans in pediatric situations such as this. So I kinda have been in a simular situation where the life of my child was involved. When I made plans to flee I had made arrangements with a pediatrition of Childrens Hospital of Portland where treatment of this type of disorder is almost a common occurance and they are more prepared to deal with it without the blood issue. I think what parents decide to do for their children in desperate situations is a very personal one....after all no matter the outcome for the child the parents have the rest of their life to live with that decison.

but of course they have a bunch of questions so that they are not troubled by evil apostates.

i have no intention of causing trouble, but i would like to lurk around, just to keep up to date.

Sorry can not help you with the questions, but there are other JW chat rooms at MSN that do not require answers to questions. They just post a long litney of rules to abide to and they have chat room moderaters. I went to one once and was so suprised at all the so called witness letting their hair down.....talking like they never been to a KH. Gave me the heebeejeebees!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

Thanks everyone for all of your input it is very much appreciated. I can't believe that I still have that "submissive sister" bullcrap in my system. I thought I had shed most of that this past year. Evidently not. I need to change the way I am viewing this B;org. its unsettling to think that my outward actions don't match my inward feelings about the WT. Gosh will this bad feeling ever go away? Will I ever be able to look at an elder and think this is a man and nothing more and he means nothing to me, or am I going to always cringe like a mouse thats been caught by a cat before? Damn it!

Ok Pepper I am going to stand in front of the mirror and practice saying Phuck U Bazturds!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, an elder just showed up at my doorstep and he was wearing sweat suit and sweat pants and he was alone. Whats up with that? Is this a new tactic to get me to talk? I am NOT going to talk and open my "heart" to these men. What are they thinking? My kids are at school and I have no husband so I am here alone. omg....what in the hell is going on? I will write my DA letter when I am ready and not when they want. Ohhhhh I get so mad!!!!!!!! I told him he could not come in ( I am still in my pj's). So he said he would be by next Friday at between 2-3. I think I will not be home thank you. Anyone got any great excuses I can use or statements that will keep them from coming?
