I am in CT. Was in til around 2000. Was DF.....now the elders must be makin the DF rounds
cause they stopped at my house a few weeks ago. I dont know if anyone is reading this thread still.

i grew up in ct, son of an elder, turned into pioneer, married early...etc....etc....all the while ignoring the wrong feeling in my stomach....finally my wife (now ex, but we are still really close friends) and i realized and got out, and took a bunch of friends with us.
i've since moved out to the west coast, lived in sf for awhile, and just recently moved to the 'desert'......i'm available if anyone needs to talk, or rant, or wants to say hi....i'm 25 now and enjoying the experience of life, and wish the best for everyone here.. you can email me @ [email protected].

I was doing a favor for a sister in my cong. She is one of the "annointed". While working on her car a pile of lottery tickets fell down from on top of the sun visor. She said they were all from the previous owner. Well....2 things....one : the former owner was a witness Two : the tickets were all less than 3 months old and she owned the car for over a year.

Assembly memories
by freedom96 ini remember baking in the hot sun, with the outdoor district conventions.
the only thing i liked about them was lunch time.
back in the day, then i could grab the little coupons, ten to a page, each worth 10 cents.

I remember making the hoagies....thousands of them. Wrapping them, counting them, crating them, shipping them to all corners of the stadium. Then some D.O. would walk in and tell us how we werent wrapping them right or not crating correctly. I remember one guy that used to be in the military....he would always end up with some sister crying to her P.O. that this lunatic was telling her that she didnt know how to make a hoagie correctly. It worked out ok though.....never got to my seat until 10:30 then had to get back before lunch started. Could never hear the program while we were wrapping sandwiches.....everybody busy gossiping...ooops..I mean building each other up.

A Danish bomb squad shot to pieces a teddy bear left on the doorstep of a Jehovah's Witness hall on Thursday evening with a note saying it contained a bomb, police said.
A group of Jehovah's Witnesses on their way into a meeting had found the cuddly toy with a note reading: "If you touch me I will blow up, I am a bomb."
Police told the 80 Jehovah's Witnesses to leave the hall in a quiet suburb 10 kilometres north-west of Copenhagen, and closed off the surrounding area to traffic.
A bomb-disposal robot then approached the bear.
"The bomb unit fired two shots at the teddy bear and there was no reaction, there is nothing that indicates that there actually was a bomb," a Copenhagen police duty officer said.
Police said they were trying to establish who was responsible for the hoax. -

A few of the new ones are not "annointed". They served for a bit as the "given ones". I knew most all of these GB members. I know a few of their secretaries etc. Carey Barber's wife is about 45 years his junior. I believe that Karl Klein was of the "annointed" then not then again maybe 20 or 30 years ago.

It is amazing to think that they would be a part of an interfaith meeting. I know in years past Witnesses were invited to join in those kinds of things and if anyone even thought they could join in on something like that they were looked down upon as weak and bordering on stumbling others.

I remember going on a trip to Bethel and being reminded, while passing the UN building, about how abhorent she is. Amazing how things change and yet really remain the same !!!!!!!!!
