only asking.. only i have heard that they make a special efforts to recruit disabled people in my area.

I seem to remember a push back in the early '90s to reach all blind and handicapped people in our territories. Not too many disabled came in. Had many that became disabled after being in and growing old.

my uncle called for my dad and wanted to know why he stopped attending meetings, he then asked me what hall im attending.

first i told him my dad could only answer why he does what he does and then i told him i had difficulty with alot of teachings that are curious.

after talking for awhile i asked him why if the magazines are a tool for bible understanding then why is it that so many take it as bible truth?

the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!

they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

it was totally unexpected.

i'm off work today to drive hubby to doctor, and had just opened the garage door to take the garbage can to the street.

i saw this burgandy car approaching very slowly on the main road and wondered what they were up to...i could see that it was two older women and i then figured they might want directions.

Sounds like she got talked to about large mag orders in the cong or she was sick and had a stockpile of mags. Musta suprised the hell out of ya though !

i heard it wasn't s'posed to happen, but as late as '89 i've seen the elders give obvious references about who to mark from stage.

i can't give the exact example, but , say it's along the lines of "nobody is to go to that three story house on blank street.

" that obvious.

I was always kinds naive. I wouldnt find out til a few days later when someone would say "wow, did you hear that marking talk"? The only one I really recall was a talk after a circuit assembly where 8 or 10 young brothers watched a porn film from pay per view in their room. The young guys just sank in their chairs.

Anyone here ever have to give a part on Masturbation? Either thru a talk, WT study or Meeting part. I used to dread conducting the WT studies on this. I would try to make sure a more mature brother was assigned to the reading. But it never failed that somehow a young embarrassed brother would get the talk. Getting awnsers was nearly impossible. Thank goodness for a few older women who had no problems awnsering any questions at the WT study. Then at least once you would get an awnser from some 9-11 year old who knew NOTHING about what the study was about. Any experiences ??
