  Any Good People left in the Organization

  to me it does not make sense to believe that.

  Well, as many of you may know well......

  My girlfriend is an ex member of the borg who wants to go back and get baptised between 9/11 and "armageddon" (her view being that 9/11 and the recent Iraq conflict are the start of things to come). She has a kind, friendly personality that reminds of the reason why i fell in love with her a few years ago.

  But basically, she is a good person, and so are the members of her family that are still JW.

  It is those who are leading the watchtower and falsely prophecize under "god's" name that are beneath my contempt. If only the 6 million or so could open up their eyes and realize that it is money, power, and hatred of non jws etc that is involved and nothing else........

  so, since i left the borg, i've been exploring all kinds a cool stuff that i wasn't allowed to do.

  rated r movies, blood sausages, rap music, wearing my hat backwards, patriotism, sex.. so, you know how the society and other fundies are always saying that heavy metal is the tool of the devil?

  Of course, those who shepherd control the flock would write off anything that does not fit in with their narrow-minded view of things as "evil", "demonic" and "satanic"

  Of course, when it comes things like teen sucides and the columbine tragedy a few years back, people are always ready to scapegoat certain artists as the cause, rather than the real roots of the problem (such as social alienation, family troubles, the easy access of guns etc)

  Has anyone here heared the new Marilyn Manson album ("Golden age of the grotesque")? I bought it on sunday, and it's all I've listened to the past few days. Songs like "This is the new s**t", "Kaboom-Kaboom", "Doll dugga buzz buzz ziggety zag" and most of all, "Vodevil" have made me pick up my guitar again........

  Facial Hair

  why aren't jw's supposed to have facial hair unless it is a nicely trimmed mustache?

  if jw's are supposed to follow the way of jesus why can't they have facial hair.

  i know there is no biblical protocall denying people the option to grow beards.

  No s**t Sherlock! And there I was, after 23 years on this planet, wondering how the hell I'd be able to get the shampoo out of my hair every time I took a shower.

  Next month - "Ass wiping - the theocratic way"

  Honestly, do the dubs really need to have Brooklyn tell them how to wash their hair? Does the WT writing department have it's own squad of specialized writers for this kind of thing? (you know, stating-the-bleeding-obvious department or whatever...)

  Is Kim Howells living in the same Great Britain as me? Given that the weather (usually) sucks, everything's way too expensive and there's always the dissapointment of finding out that not everyone here lives in a castle, I can only wish Mr Howells all the best in convincing American tourists (or any other tourists for that matter) that Britain should be top of the list when it comes to choosing a holiday in Europe

  I know I'll probably end up getting flamed big time for saying it (but isn't that a small price to pay for freedom of speech?), however........

  SEND THAT DAMNED BOOK ON A ONE-WAY TRIP TO THE DUMP! (especially if it's the NWT version)

  I'm in total agreement with libra_spirit on this one. If "god" wants to destroy 99.99% of the population, why do it in such a cruel manner? If he is supposed to be as powerful as he's made out to be, why not just snap his fingers and let the "wicked" ones dissapear instantly and painlessly with no awareness of what's happening whatsoever? It's one of the reasons why I don't believe in Christianity - there's way too much bloodshed, hatred, cruelty and contradiction within the bible.

  There, thats my 10 pence worth for the time being.

  fiancee committed scuicide jw parents trying to steal my babies

  my fiancee died on feb24 she was suffering from years of abuse by her alchoholic jw parents.

  she first tried to commit scuicide when she was 12 then 2 more times at 16. when she was 15 she snuck out to go to a party when she was raped she was too afraid to tell her parents.

  the very next day her jw brother in law molested her.

  JW's and Mormons (**again!**)

  a few days back i started a thread called "jw's and mormons", which seemed to get a few replies.

  however, whenever i tried to open the thread i kept getting one of those horrible "error" screens that seemed to have been plaguing the forum recently.
