WTF? When the hell did it change to "New World"? Are we living in the "Old World"? Why don't they just call it the "Recycled Earth", then they wouldn't have to change the damn meaning. Jehovah sure makes that flickering light get brighter and more annoying.

The new system will be incredibly boring. Nobody will have anything to talk about because problems will be non-existant.
Everybody will be wearing polyester and dandelions will be considered conversation pieces.
The only music we'll have is the Kingdom Melodies tapes that survive armageddon, but there will be no technology to play them on.
There will be no sex appeal because everyone will look the same, and besides, sex appeal is wrong in Jehovah's eyes.
Nobody will have indoor plumbing, or even outhouses, because perfect people don't need to eat or shit.
Nobody will have any goals, because the only thing you need to do in your life is serve Jehovah.
The new system will not be a happy one.

This sounds very similar to "Jehovah". When the Society contacted the rapper and asked him what he was referring to [in hope of a lawsuit], the rapper simply stated that he was saying "The Hoover", as in a Hoover vacuum. With the phrase "Da Hoovah" entering into the people of the world, the name "Jehovah" has lost all it's godly meaning. Would it be wise for christians in good standing to be sanctifying the name of a vacuum cleaner company? Absolutely not! Therefore, the name "Jehovah's Witnesses" will be changed back to "Bible Students".

I completely agree with this statement.Over the past couple of years, I've done a lot of learning about relationships, dating, and interacting with the opposite sex, as well as standing up for myself. How many of you single guys treat a good looking woman like a princess? Ever notice how you treat a woman well, and she ditches you for some asshole with a grade 8 education, and treats her like shit?
I'll tell you guys something, being nice doesn't get you anywhere in this world. Being nice gets your heart broken, gets you walked all over, and taken advantage of. Whenever someone sees you as a nice guy, they'll see you as a person they can take advantage of, and you'll let them because you're nice.
One of the harsh realities of coming out of the WTS is being nice only gets you places amongst JWs. When you enter "The World", you enter reality. This isn't the "paradise earth" that the JWs are always talking about. You have to adapt to reality, the reality that the JWs have been trying to keep you away from for so many years. It involves a lot of changes to your personality, but if you adapt well, you can succeed incredibly.

I smoke thanks to the stress from being associated with the JWs combined with peer pressure at school. My fiancee is a smoker as well.
However, we've decided that we need to quit before the wedding. It's just too damn expensive. I must say, I enjoy my cigarette, and I will miss it.

JW Superstitions
by sandy inyesterday i got home and i realized i accidentally brought a necklace with a cross on it from my boyfriend's house.. it was in a regular brown paper bag i put some of my things in.
i was lying in bed last night thinking about it wondering if i should take it outside.
i was afraid the demons were going to invade my house.. i decided to leave my tv on all night because we all know the demons will not bother you if your light or tv is on.

It's sad how paranoid JWs become. My mother (still a JW) cleans the house of an older JW. She is afraid that her stereo is demonized because it makes a scratchy noise when she turns the volume control.
I remember a JW family that got a pillow from a worldly relative. One of the kids started having nightmares, so they had to throw the pillow away.
I also remember playing the Bob & Doug McKenzie album for a JW, and his conscience started bothering him so he shut the tape off.
