What I started thinking about is what if Adam & Eve DIDN'T eat from the tree? The entire earth would be a beautiful garden, full of people and animals, and yet nobody has eaten from the tree of knowledge.
Yeah right, not gonna happen. If Adam & Eve didn't eat from the tree, one of their kids would have. Or their kids' kids. SOMEBODY would end up eating from that tree. Then what?
None of it makes any sense. It's like putting a cookie on the table in front of your two year old and telling them "don't eat this cookie" and then walking out of the room. Of course, the cookie will be eaten.

Goodbye to JWD ... hello to JWN !
by Simon inas i announced some time ago, jwd as it is will not continue .... ... but .... it's clear from people's comments that they do like the site and many would like it or something else like it to continue.. one issue was the forum software that was self-developed and not really in a good state to hand-over to anyone but i've been working on that and can now reveal the first release of what will probably be called jwn (son of jwd):.

it is still work-in-progress so not all features are enabled yet but it will allow you to browse the site in a similar way to this one and it is pointing at the same database (although because of the way the caching works, new posts made on this site won't appear immediately).

Here's a definitive (and massive) list of stuff that will make me happy! I'd also like to note that I'm cool with used stuff.
First, the easy stuff:
The easiest way to make me happy is to send me a USB Flash Drive (any size). Blank CDs are cool too!
Also, anything I can write about on my blog would be cool. If you have a REALLY TERRIBLE music album or video kicking around - especially things like bad singing, awful Christian music, terrible Christmas albums, rediculous novelties, it would make great blog fodder. I have the ability to transfer just about any format of audio and video, so don't worry if you have an 8-track tape or a U-Matic videocassette, I can play it. If you're still stuck, picking something from my wishlist works:
DVD Videos of any classic rock bands with the EXCEPTIONS of: Pink Floyd, Kiss, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, Meatloaf, Blue Oyster Cult, Spinal Tap, The Clash.
I also like video documentaries of bands. I don't have any of those.
