i find that the witnesses are very "haughty".
haughty is described in the oxford dictionary as "proud of oneself and looking down on others"; how well this describes the wtbts.. how many people were very proud of having "the troof"?
how many people felt that they were special.

They are a wonderful, warm, great association who publish a lot on Brother Russell, but consider Brother Rutherfordd the Bad seed that formed the modern Day Jehovah Witnesses.
Did you know Jehovah Witnesses mark DAWN member households as the "Evil Slave" and they never call on them? It happened to my friends!!
Anyways they have lots of lit availiable on Brother Russell.

this 30ish jw elder came strolling in the movie theater with his wife and a huge tub of pop corn in his arm to watch x-men 2: xmen united.
i couldn't believe the hypocrasy.........they teach not to even watch much tv, much less go to a movie.

I know many pioneer sisters that dont even own a television. thinking it is a sin.

yea, i did something i tought i'd never do.
i finally threw most of my jw hard cover books away.
i must have had about 50 jw books laying there on the floor in the closet.
I threw my books away two months ago. I thought about taking them back to the KH but thought "would I want these given to someone else to be mislead like I was?"
I put them all in a black garbage bag, and poured a can of soda over the contents, to be sure they would never be salvaged. Such a relief swept over me.
To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh. Ecclesiastes 12:12

i suppose some of it is a consequence of childhood abuses - and much of it developed over a lifetime of trying to be good enough to make it through armageddon.

I believe the Jehovah Witness faith attracts many people who have been abused, or feel inadequate from their past. This faith makes us feel special, and hopeful, and it seems like a gentle ,caring religion at first.
I jumped in and did it all too, pioneering, all meetings, etc, till I just burned out and exposed myself as a imperfect human being, then all of the sudden my fellow witnesses weren't interested in me anymore, It was totally conditional.
Jesus came to those that were "trodden" and "loaded" down cause the pharisses were making them feel like dirt.
Remember who Jesus came for and who he refreshed. He came for the sinners, not the righteous, and he said, it was the sick that needed a physician.
The true God and Jesus aside from the WT welcomes us in our imperfections, and wants to heal us with love and mercy.

My fiancee elum and I were excluded from a wedding when we were in the process of being disfellowshipped. It was so hard on us.
We were quote. "living immorally." and we diffinitely wont have a wedding ourselves cause we have no friends, nor family left (his side) we live in his hometown. And my family is far away, not Witnesses, but there are other issues.
