what kind of mind-control ?

i need help in finding out just what kind of mind control the jw's use on their members.

i have never been a jw, and need some specifics on this to help my sister, who is a jw.. just what kind of fear tactics did they instill upon you, and other ways of mind controlling?.

i know all the doctrines from research i have done, but not really sure on the specific things they said to keep you in, not listen to outsiders, and fear from leaving the orginization.. you all are so helpful in these posts, and i know you all will give me some great info.. thanks so much, grace4u

sorry about my goof with the how to ruin a romantic evening picture.

i had it posted on my group, watchtower excape (yes i used the x in excape on purpose), so i really thought it would appear alright rather than giving the stupid red x. i guess i haven't figured out how to post stuff like that yet, even though i thought i did it right since it was on my group/site.

anyhooooo, i'd like you all to check out my new group, and see if you'd like to join in on discussions.

I had it posted on my group, Watchtower Excape (yes I used the X in Excape on purpose), so I really thought it would appear alright rather than giving the stupid red x. I guess I haven't figured out how to post stuff like that yet, even though I thought I did it right since it was on my group/site. Anyhooooo, I'd like you all to check out my new group, and see if you'd like to join in on discussions. The group is new, just since October 4th, but according to my counter we've had 450 hits so far in such a short time. We have members from Silentlambs guestbook that are "confused" and contemplating leaving the org, others who are df'd like me, and others who are da'd. We have lots of information pages that probably some of you have already seen from freeminds and other sites, and we have three different message boards so far. One is for just general chit chat like here on Friends, another one for doctrinal conversations/debates, and the other is for people to post their personal stories or experiences. There are already several stories posted, and the message board is busy, so please check us out. We could use all the help we can get with people who join from Silentlambs with questions and comments, etc.

Sorry I haven't replied until now, but I've been real busy on my new group, Watchtower Excape. It's a new group, only been open since October 4th, but we've got 34 members so far and we have great conversations on various subjects from Dubville experiences. We have three different message boards, one for personal experiences and stories, another for just general talk like here on Friends, and the other is for doctrinal discussion. Many of our members are from Silentlambs guestbook, who are either contemplating leaving the org, or are those who have been df'd or have da'd themselves either by just leaving or by officially da'ing. Please take a look at our group pages, we have lots of information pages and articles from freeminds, etc. It's similar on a smaller scale to this site, where we all talk and exchange comments, make some great friendships, help those "newbies" who are confused Dubs, those who have been victimized by molesters within the org. Since October 4th when the site started, we'd had over 450 hits according to my counter. Please take a look at the group, and please consider joining, we'd love to have as many as would like.
