yeah..............my parents told me when i was 5 that i would never get to high school, as this evil system of things would end long before that!!

well....here i am, pushing 30. i had to go to hs, college, and even get a job!!

Yep, and think about the 70 year old widow who finally awakes to the conclusion she's going to live miserably for the rest of her life on just social security - she can't even afford the medicine to relieve the aches and pains. She's given 99 percent of her life to a thought of paradise, but as the light gets brighter for her, she begins to see the fraud (and her soulmate is now gone to rest). I'm just thankful I have time to live, not just die, and I'm 47!

Starting to live and grow at 30, with 2/3's your life to live is better than continuing with THE LIE! AS Mr Spock says "Live long and prosper"...you really do have the rest of your life in front of you and many great times ahead.

Gasoline Price in your area

yesterday alone the price of gasoline went up 9 cents a liter here in eastern canada passing from 68 to 77 cents a liter.

a one day jump of 9 cents a liter is equal to about 40 cents a gallon.

so now we pay 77 cents a liter or 3.50$ a canadian gallon.

Yes, it points out the Europe (for the most part) is a high gas tax region. On the other hand, U.S. is considered a low tax country. I did like the "egg comparison" found on page 60...now we know!

Since 90 percent of Canadians live within 500 ft of the U.S. border (OK, maybe not that close), they can and do come across the border empty and go back full. And, since the tax revenue is lost to the Imperialist Warmongers to the South, the price is kept low, just like their big brother's...

So, maybe we should look at wholsale price of gasoline before taxes and markup. That may cast a whole different light on this thread - will look into that over lunch. Boss wants some legal stuff out!

alright it has only taken me 25 years but i have worked out how they get you to believe.. in all the publications they always present both sides of the story in a logical and often scientific way.

this makes you feel that you don't have to research further because you already know the other side.. the truth is they don't have the truth.

And alot of us here really have no one to blame but ourselves (OK I have nobody to blame but myself). When first started studying, questioned everything and even looked up "stuff". But, being a basically lazy human being and a true procrastinator, I found it easier just to read and memorize by rote the "correct" responses to challenges from those on the "outside". It was so easy to answer those who challenged the JW doctrine because we were given the answer. No thinking on my part! And hey, I won almost all those debates. And the ones I lost just meant that person was gonna burn in the end.

So, a year ago I returned to my due diligence approach and here I (and my family) are...So, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

The main reason gasoline is so low in U.S. is simple capitalism. Demand and supply - Raise the price too much and your (Oil Cartel) sales plummet. Raise it slowly and vary according to demand. Then you can continue to make a healthy profit to support your decadent and oppulent life-style. Carrying a "big stick" probably also has something to do with it.

By the way, in Nebraska, USA, the price has gone up from $1:29 to $1:46 over the last three days. Must be travel time again. Off to the pumps to fill up before another 3 cents is added.

most of the jws i met were sincere people.

not perfect, i have my horror stories too, but most were decent people.

i am not discounting the horrible things i hear on this forum.

I used to believe that most were good people, but now that my family and I are out, I must disagree. I don't know a single one who would lift a hand to help someone outside the org especially if that person was df'd or da'd. And, when we lost the roof over our head, the one who took us in was inactive a "fade-away"...none of the "brothers or sisters" offered to help. Sorry, but IMO the goodness stopped when their hearts turned to stone...doesn't matter who or how it happens, it does. And its a cold stone!
