JWs at my door today
by somebody ini am home today and tomorrow per doctor's orders and i was shocked that of all days, today two jws knocked at my door for the first time in almost 4 years.
they will be back on saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
to you all here, both non and ex jws, and to any lurking jws, i ask the question... what is the difference between a servant of jehovah and a disciple of christ, if any at all?

I was raised in the dubs in the 60's/70's so I remember reading my Bible, several times, but it was when I started to notice and question scriptures that contradicted the publications that I got in trouble. I couldn't reconcile it myself and went to the elders, like a good little dub and that is when we have the conversation that I posted before.
I lost a lot of faith in the org after that... how could they put their publications over the Bible ?
Obviouly I know how..and why now. LOL

I found it absurd that some claim that we get info just from the WT publications - when multiple times the WT publications strongly encourage us to read the Bible.
You're kidding right ? LOL When I went to the elder with questions about inconsistencies between the bible and the orgs publications I was specifically told by the elders that I should not waste my time researching the scriptures as it would only confuse me. I was told to simply take the orgs teaching on faith since the GB were better equipt to understand God's word then I was. That was one of the primary reasons that I eventually left.

People with no common sense
People who yell at me when they talk to me - I must be deaf since I use a wheelchair...right ?
People who think they will catch something from me if they shake my hand
Using a public restroom and having to push my wheelchair across a wet floor -- praying it is wet because it was just mopped.
Travelling hundreds of miles to take my kids on a cool vacation only to get there and find out they lied when we called and it is not wheelchair accessible after all.
Having to pi** in the ice bucket of my hotel room because the bathroom door is too narrow to fit my chair through
Wow...that felt sort of good to get out all at one time LOL

he did say that his sister was expelled, or w/e, and he said his mother and family stil have contact with her... so what does this tell me?
It depends....if she still lives at home then that is acceptable...
He said it wasn't forever its just to give that person time to .. I don't know I guess reflect or see what mistake he made?
People who are disfellowshipped and shunned can ask to be reinstated after some time has passed but they have to repent and discontinue the wrongdoing they were accussed of in the first place.
