  Has Anyone Got Any Proof That The Society Monitors Apostate Web Sites?

  i am extremely skeptical about this, yet people on this forum seem to talk about it as though it were a fact.

  so has anyone got any actual concrete proof?

  here are the reasons why i don't think they do:.

  Personally...I could care less if they monitor it or not...as long as this great source of information is available to people considering joining the dubs....people fading from the dubs.....people in the dubs who may have doubts....member of the media or general public who should know what the cult i ntheir backyard is doing.....or even the occassional visitor from bethel here for whatever reason.

  I think that the previous post is correct....they stand to lose a lot if the word gets out...and if they can find out what people are saying they can develop the "New Light" that they need to continue the lies for as long as possible.

  Are there two witnesses or written testimony to serve as the proof you ask for...maybe not. But there is some pretty good circumstantial evifdence out there that would point to some sort of monitoring.

  HOW WOULD A WITNESS ANSWER THIS?

  i thought of a question i'd like to ask my sister-in-law (who's a fanatical dub).

  i'd like to say to her: "...if it could be proven to you beyond any doubt that this was not the "one true religion", would you still go to the kingdom hall?...

  i figure it's a catch-22 that really ought to make them stop and think.

  You could never prove the org is not the truth because the statement would not be true and we know it is not true because the org tells us so and the org cannot lie...we know the org cannot lie because they are spirit directed and we know this is true because to org tells us so and the org cannot lie.......

  LOL --- round and round and round.....

  It reminds me of an old original Star Trek episode (I, MUDD for any other trekkie nerds)......the heros tell an android that they must believe that everything the hero says is the truth....they then tell them to listen closely and say..."I am lying".....the robot then implodes trying to rationalize that everything they say is the truth but they said they are lying but they can not be lying because everything they say is the truth and therefor they can not be lie....yadda, yadda.

  Everytime I see that rerun I think of the dubs.... LOL

  Baby Name Help - Please Respond

  my husband and i are having a heck of a time coming up with the spelling for our new baby girl's name.

  please pick the spelling you like and also the middle name you like and let me know.

  my husband wants to go with the majority vote.. spelling of first name: reagan or reghan.

  Our new Daughter was born October 6th and we decided early in the pregnancy on her name....

  When we had our son in 1998 we debated names for months. My wifes family has this mindless tradition of naming 1st born sons using a combination of only Franklin, Charles and Kenneth. No Thank you.....LOL

  We decided to make both Grandfathers happy by using her maiden name as the middle name and my family name as the last name (obviously). We wanted a nice first name that made an easy nickname and where the initials didn't spell something stupid.

  Alexander (Alex) Conrad Wagoner ..........

  We also picked a selection of girls names but in 2004 when we found out about our daughter most of the names we had picked out had become common place. We wanted something different without being something she would hate later. We wanted something with meaning, something that showed humor, intelligence, power..something that reflected that she could do anything she wants later in life.... Oh and as most here know....I am a Rabid Republican....LOL

  Her middle name was decided already...My mons middle name is Lee...the wife mom's middle name was Ann... so LeeAnn it was.

  We decided on........Reagan LeeAnn Wagoner.

  Several months after we decided, President Reagan died and we rethought our choice...would if be appropriate....we decided to stick with our choice and feel it has even more meaning now. I had the honor of meeting the President and have several pictures and a keepsake that he gave me along with several other items about him that we have set aside to give to my daughter when she grows up to show her about the man she was named after.

  Needless to say we love your choice of Reagan...and Brooke.....I hear that only the smartest and most increadibly beautiful women get named Brooke.....*winkin at whyamihere*

  What would be different ?

  next time you are walking down your main street....or go to your favorite store or restaurant...or go to your doctor or dentist.....or to your kid's school or city hall or the local golf course....or maybe your favorite vacation spot...... think like a guy/gal in a wheelchair for a minute............. is your town accessible ?

  are there ramps or steps into buildings ?

  if you had to use a wheelchair...could you do the things you do now ?.

  Thanks for the post. I have a hearing loss myself and getting worse with age. Its nice to see that your town is making progress.

  When my business partner started working with me his eyes were opened. He had never realized how difficult it can be to travel with a wheelchair. Now after 18 years in business he can't go anywhere without looking at the access..even his wife will call him now all upset when she sees something that is obviously inaccessible.

  It is an eye opening and educational experience to just stop and think about it...your own Town...House...Job. Disability is the only minority that ANYONE could join..at ANYTIME.

  When I DA'd I had started working for the Police Department so the only story I ever heard was that I was working with the police to make a list of all the local dubs to be used when the big A came to round them all up. LOL Like the Police even care about the dubs unless they break the law....so very paranoid....
