Quick survey for apostates - please everyone just yes or no answer
by slimboyfat indo the other witnesses with whom you associate/once associated in general know that you are an apostate or have apostate inclinations?
the reason for the phrase "in general" is that it may be the case that one or two close friends know how you feel, but others in general do not.
in my own case, one other witness knows, but no one else, so i would answer the survey question with a "no".

HAS ANYONE HAD THE PLEASURE OF DRINKING BLUE MOUNTAIN COFFEE?
by juni inour son brought back some blue mountain coffee from his trip to jamaica.. it is the most delicious coffee i've ever tasted!!
we watched on the travel channel last night a documentary about jamaica - its people, music, sites, geography, and world renown coffee.
they also had mavis bank speaking about the pure coffee - you want your coffee to be backed by m.b.c.f.

we pay far less than $68 a pound here....it is still pricey though but we don't mind contributing to the Jamaican economy.

Did your reading skills suffer from your JW experience?
by Maryjane ini was a staunch jw and rarely read anything other than the wt/awake and newspapers (reading level - 6th grade maybe?
) prior to becoming a jw i could easily read a book a week...now it takes me forever just to get through one novel.
has anyone else lost their reading attention span?

I'd have to agree that mine was enhanced, but I was raised in the dubsfrom a very young age...I do also have a JW writing and speaking style even now that is difficult to get rid of. I find myself, like above, using way too many "..." continuations in my writing and I tend to be a bit wordy when its not needed.

XXJW's...Dem's or Rep's??? Why?
by upside/down inwhat do you think xxjw's tend to become politically in the usa?
the phrase from the frying pan into the fire seems appropriate.
i'm not an anarchist...but i refuse to trade religious masters for political ones... but some enjoy exercises in futility...just look at the die hard dubbies.. it seems that the borg mentality tends to produce more dem's (or they just talk louder?

Lobbyist are a part of politics....ALL politics....pretty hard for either party to throw stones on that issue. Not saying it is a good idea...it is just the way it is.
Nice try at a slam though....just not very effective.
As a side note...I don't have a stained blue dress or a hidded box of legal files in my closet either. -

What Are You Doing To Prepare For Retirement?
by Apostanator ini'm curious as to what some of you are doing to prepare for retirement.
some people have 401k's, others buy real estate, some have many children in hopes that they will take care of them when they get old.
so i'm wondering what some of you are doing now to prepare.
