  i will say that one of the most distasteful teachings for me is the idea of praising, thanking, worshiping, god every day for all eternity.

  what kind of ego needs that?

  How, exactly, does Watchtower's literature publishing bring them money?

  i've heard is said many times that watchtower is a publishing company bringing in money from the proliferation of its literature.

  how exactly does this process work?

  i know that jws are encouraged to tell the householders of the donation arrangement to support the worldwide work.

  Advice needed on Crisis of Conscience

  so, some of you may have seen my thread from yesterday about my wife waking up.. we had further discussion yesterday evening after i sent her the pbs video on the abuse scandals plaguing the watchtower.

  she was so furious and pissed off at wt hq.

  apparently a close relative of her's was abused by an elder and the only reason he was reproved and removed as an elder was because he confessed.

  Its a trip , but if one member of the family comes out with proven facts regarding gb ,or jwdom as a whole.......they jump in the car.

  Who wouldnt? Who likes fieldservice? Who likes long dragged out meetings?.....Sounds like she was just waiting for you to jump, in order for her to also... I believe its happening everywhere....good luck CAPPYTAN ! !

  To me, and i hope many others.......if you sexually molest a child, you are the lowest of life forms. You are marked for life as a predator. You should never be let out of prison. You should never ,ever, ever be allowed near a child for the rest of your lame life. Just sayin.

  we had a laugh last weekend at our s.a.dthe visiting speaker was from the london bethel (bcm)during the last talk he was trying to encourage the bros not to read non society lit.

  the example he uses was of a m/s bro who used to really study his wtwell for a sunday, however he occasionally used secular sources to back up his research.. our bethel speaker in order to prove how wrong this was explained very quickly that because of this secular research, "this brother fell away and caught aids".

  the brothers and sisters in the audience where very shocked at the folly of our ex-brother.

  i've been lurking here for a while now, and i guess you could call me a fader.

  i don't have hate in my heart for the organization that i spent most of my life in, but i have had an awakening.

  luckily, so has my wife, and that way i don't feel so alone.
