i know i'm asking this early but i feel it would be good to put the feelers out now.. obviously, it would have to be a location easy to get to - so that means stornoway is out!

Just to confirm the date:

Would anyone be able to make a long weekend of it, Friday 4th-Sunday 6th? It's a long way to travel just for one day - even though the day should be great - so I'm thinking perhaps we (some of us?) could meet up Friday and say our goodbyes on the Sunday. Any thoughts?

The Snow Day

there has been a snowstorm in the midwest and northeast, and some parts got more than a foot.
of course, other parts got only rain or a measly dusting to an inch.. what this means is that field circus is going to be harder.

Christmas Card exchange?

Folks, at the risk of seeming a tight-fisted Scrooge can I just say that as much as I'd love to be on this list the cost of sending out so many cards would be too exorbitant. Let it be known that Claire and I would DEARLY LOVE to send you ALL a card this year, but we already have a huge list of overseas friends (mostly from the USA on JWD). Already this week alone I have had to explain to two people who wanted to exchange cards that we were having to cut back.
However, would anyone here accept an e-mail card from us at Christmas? We shall continue to send snail mail cards to those on our list from previous years but if YOU would like an e-mail card from us via Jacquie Lawson (great quality) we will be delighted to send you one.
Just pm me with your e-mail details and your name and I'll do the rest.
