I love peace and quiet. I love to be able to hear myself think, to be at one with nature. I hate radios playing when I'm imbibing silence. It's nice for children to whisper - but if they don't, well at least be glad you've got them. It's peaceful to hear birds singing, bees buzzing and to smell the scent of flowers on a warm day. There's far too much noise - and people insist on taking it with them, via car steroes blasting full volume while prats drive around in their rust buckets with the windows down with a "Hey, look at me. I'm cool, baby!" - plus those imbeciles who stroll around with a radio the size of a cannon - and the prats who leave their bedroom windows open while blasting out the base on their crappy little CDs.
Enjoy your kids, man. Aint everybody got the opportunity!

do you find yourself using british expressions in your daily life because of being on this db so much?
two that i've picked up - i occasionally will call a friend "mate" (they look at me kind of funny) .

So, how do you use the word bollocks? Give me some examples, the only time I've ever seen it is "Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols".
"What a load of bollocks" = "What a load of nonsense"
"Bollocks" = Rubbish = nonsense or, depending on the situation, can be a way of saying "Piss Off" = "get lost".
IIYou can also use it, for example, when making a mistake: "Oh, bollocks!"
Good, eh!

Some of the people here that profess to be atheists seem so angry, demanding Christians answer their questions, yet the atheist doesn’t have any answers.
Perhaps they are still in pain through being duped by Watchtower and so question anything to do with "Christianity". I understand this. I now question everything, also - though, hopefully, not with anger.

Seriously, though, he is a little belter (that's British for wonderful) and I wish you all the loving years in the world with him. I'd give anything to be able to have my children back at that age knowing what I know now, so that I could have them free of any Borg-like influence; that they wouldn't be conditioned with so much garbage.
Make the most of it. Do as much as you can together. Teach him to believe in nothing but to examine everything. But most of all shower him with love.

Update on my Heart condition
by wednesday ini just got out of the hospital, and have some news on my heart condition.
i have apparently had hypertension for some time and it had caused a slight thickening of my heart.
it makes the heart stiff and causes it to work harder.

well, here's my suggestion: how about as many of you as feel comfortable e-mail dr. phil too and suggest that as a topic.
that might get his attention and we might get a little more attention directed to the danger of associating with jehovah's witnesses.

SHUNNED FATHER GOES TO COURT - AGAIN
by SHUNNED FATHER inthe watchtower has been trying to get my wife appointed as the representative of bethany's estate so they would be in a possition to sue the doctors, hospital, child welfare and provincial government.
i decided to get involved to prevent this.
after many months of legal battling , the wts thru in the towel and gave up on the idea.
