  Shepherding Call

  just what the hell do i have to do to get my wife to understand that i do not welcome these type of visits?

  one elder made several calls to her asking when would be a good time to come by for a visit, yet, when they (plural) get to my home, it's me their primarily interested in talking to.

  hell....i didn't ask for a visit and have told them on more than one occasion that i'm entirely satisfied with my life as it is and that if or when i need any assistance from them that i will call them?

  Kicked out of Kyle (DA Schedule Anyone???)

  so....i've just heard that a da that was usually in the past years held in kyle stadium is being held in an arena near katy this year.

  for those who don't know, kyle stadium is located about 100 miles northwest of houston while katy is a surburb on the far west side of houston.

  the reason i ask is because my wife was going on and on about how college station would miss the witnesses being there, how much they contribute to the local economy and how clean they leave things........whatever.........

  Immersed in Negative Anticipation

  is it just me or is their a direct correllation between how deep someone is immersed in "da troof" and how much they are in anticipation of negative things happening to bolster the wt case of the end being so near?.

  i've just got off the phone with my wife, for the fourth or fifth time today, hardly been able to get any work done, and i fear she's turning into a news-hound.

  every conversation was about the latest developments of the hurricane in no, some volcano about to blow up and cause a tsunami capable of wiping out the eastern seaboard, and now it's the blackout in la and how it may be the work of al queda.. doesn anyone else with a jw so find it exhausting to listen to so much negativity?

  ok.....i downloaded the two parts of the obey symps and the return to the shepherd of your souls demo.. i made it through listening to the return to shepherds demo.

  though it was full of the usual guilt inducing fare, it was short and barely tolerable though i found myself rolling my eyes all the way through.

  but upon starting to listen to part one of the obeys, i got that familiar feeling......the mind wandering on other "more important" things, the hypnotic droning on of the speaker lulling me to sleep, the realization that i just can't stomach listening to that crap.. i couldn't make it more than a couple of minutes through the talk till i had to turn it off.

  Superstitious JW Nonsense

  one of my jw relatives was relating to me another one of their superstitious nonsense stories designed to demonize every damn thing that doesn't fall into an approved wt list.

  she was telling me about a her friend, who upon cleaning a relatives house, found a voodoo doll with a prayer to demons written on paper that it took an hour to burn.

  she also related to me how in the hour it took to burn the demon paper prayer, everyone around them getting sick and falling into convulsions.. i guess she was a little perturbed that i was .

  from the notes of "incognita"......... i was doing a little comparing of the new book "what does the bible really teach?

  " and guess what?????????????

  the chapters are identical to the knowledge book-------------this book was printed in 1995--------so they had to disguise it with a soft cover and change the name for 2005. our posters are wondering what the new book contains, well here are a list of the 19 chapters just like in the knowlege book, but worded a little different....................new light------hum-bug......... .
