I'd like to know YOUR take on WHAT truth is, and WHERE it is. You seem to have trouble admitting you still feel somehow the WTBTS are the only ones who come/came close to pleasing the almighty.

No, I don't have any trouble in that regard. I don't know what made you think that. My belief is that the religion as practiced by the WTS is what true worship is all about. That's not to say that there aren't problems that need to be ironed out. I believe that Daniel 11:35 is relevant to the WTS's present doctrinal errors, and as that scripture clearly shows, the true religion refered to there is due to undergo a doctrinal refinement.

You hate churches, you hate the clergy. What DO you like in the religious arena? Is it ALL bad to you? Is there no truth to be found? If there is,....where is it?

Nah, I really don't "hate" anybody ... not even AuldSoul (but don't let him know I said so, okay?). I do have an aversion to the Clergy's misconceptions and their hard-headedness, even as I do with the WTS's misconceptions. Of course I'm more apt to control my tongue when it comes to the WTS as compared to Christendom, because the WTS is my "mother". LOL

Misconceptions about the Bible is a "turn off" for me, with the misconceptions of the WTS being no exception. To me, though, their is hope for the WTS (a coming "refinement"; Da 11:35) getting its doctrinal problems all straightened out, whereas there isn't any such hope for Christendom doing the same. Christendom will never change. Some of her member will, but her teachings about who God is, the immortality of the soul, etc. will remain with her until she is destroyed by the 8th King.

One thing, though...in the example you point to as your rationale the ones with the name in their foreheads were SUBJECT TO the one they were named after. And the name wasn't written on the one they were subject to. In the account of Babylon the Great, the harlot, the Wild Beast is not her subject

The point is that the "woman" changed from worshiping/serving her God to worshiping/serving the beast (a man-made entity, and hence has a "man's number," 666). That's how she becomes a harlot in the first place, and the reason why she has the name of the beast written upon her forehead. It's as if you can't, or didn't, read the scripture I supplied up above. Remember this?:

If anyone worships the wild beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand ..... -- Revelation 14:9.

I truly question your ability to read, Auldie. Do you need eye-glasses? Or perhaps a little eye-salve would help?

Can't you people see that the name of the beast is "Babylon the Great"?

That's the name on the harlot's forehead, "Babylon the Great".

A name on the forehead always identifies who the person serves.

The beast's name being inscribed upon the harlot's forehead identifies her as being a servant of the beast, even as the 144,000 are identified as being servants of Jesus & his father by having their names written upon their foreheads.

The harlot herself is "Babylon the great city". But "Babylon the Great" is the name of the beast itself.

There is a reason why the beast is called "Babylon the Great," as well as why the harlot is called "Babylon the great city". The harlot is the parallel to the city of Babel, and the beast is the parallel to the tower of Babel.

Because I doubt that there's anyone here who cares to know the connection between the tower of Babel and the beast called "Babylon the Great" (aka the 8th King), I won't go to the trouble to explore that here.

When someone does something bad on their birthday, it makes the person bad, not the birthday! Does anyone else see the logical fallicy in making the birthday evil????

You are absolutely correct, but there are other reasons why a Christian wouldn't want to copy the world's practice of "birthday celebrations".

I can say with no doubt that I have the determination to be doing God's Will .... -- daystar.

Do you know what actually proves whether or not a person is truly determined to do God's will? The real test is based upon a person's willingness to go wherever people are to be found, and share the Bible's hope with them, face-to-face. A person really can't claim that they're "determined" if all they do is go warm a seat at the Kingdom Hall, or a pew in some church, and/or donate some of their money.

Most JWs, as well as ex-JWs, are well aware of the self-sacrifice involved in going out to meet people and attempt to share their faith with them. Doing God's "will" in this manner is not the easiest thing in the world to do for a lot of people. Some people have to overcome being shy, while others have to overcome feeling inadequate, etc. But by being determined they are finally able to overcome all such obstacles.

The thing about all this is that the members of Christendom's churches aren't informed of the need to go "preach" by their pastors/priests/preachers. And so what do all such parishioners wind up doing? For the most part they merely keep the pews warm at the church they attend. Oh, yes, they will probably visit those who fall sick and try to comfort them, but insofar as having a REGULAR share in the public ministry--a ministry where a person deliberately tries to share his/her hope with strangers--they aren't motivated to do that. Like I said, though, they aren't even taught that this is what they should be doing. But what if they were properly taught in this regard, then what would they do about it. Whether they are willing to follow through with what they know is Biblically required of them is what would actually prove whether or not they are truly determined to do God's will.
