  The Wild Beast has both a Name & Number. Do you know what the NAME is?

  as shown by the text below, the 7-headed wild beast has a name.. 16 and it puts under compulsion all persons, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they should give these a mark in their right hand or upon their forehead, 17 and that nobody might be able to buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name.

  18 here is where wisdom comes in: let the one that has intelligence calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a mans number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.

  of course the beast's "number" is "666" -- but that's not it's "name".

  When something non-existent does something.

  i was browsing around inside the 2004 library and run across an article that said this: "ever since its establishment in 1914, god's heavenly kingdom has been gathering and organizing its subjects from peoples around the world.

  " i hate to read things like that in the publications, for two reasons:

  1) because i know that the wts is wrong in thinking the kingdom has been established.

  Catholic "Manger Scene" misrepresents the facts!

  i drove by the local catholic church this evening and happened to notice there was a manger scene set up out front of the church.

  flanking one side of the child's crib were mary, a few shepherds, and a cow.

  flanking the other side of the crib were joseph and the so-called "three wise men" (more accurately known as the magi).. after having seen this display it made me wonder whether or not the local catholics know that the magi did not make their visit while jesus was an infant lying in a manger.

  JWs are also in the dark regarding the true meaning of Sheol/Hades.

  the watchtower society explains "hades" as being "the common grave of mankind".

  christendom's understanding of "hades" is, for the most part, quite different than that of the watchtower society.

  the one similarity between the two beliefs is that in both cases "hades" is considered to be a literal place.. the truth of the matter is that neither the watchtower society or christendom has a correct understanding of the terms "hades".

  Help me find Barbara Anderson's pic in Revelation book.

  photo above is of barbara & her husband, as can be seen at http://www.freeminds.org/women/barbara_anderson.htm .. below is where she said that there is a picture of her in the revelation/climax book the society produced.

  i looked the book over and unless that's her on pages 239, 241, and 245, i don't see her in the book.

  can someone verify the place or places where her picture is to be found in this book?.

  The 8th King of Daniel 7 etc.

  the horn (see pic below) that the wts believes is the 7th king is actually the 8th king instead--a king that has yet to arise.

  absolutely, with regards to the wts's understandings there are refinements that will have to be made.

  this (the proper identity of the little horn) is just one of a number of adjustments that the wts will have to make.

  What about Lamech's "wound"?

  would someone who believes in and respects the bible as having been inspired by god like to attempt an explanation of this account regarding lamech?

  why do you think an account such as this is even in the bible to begin with?

  was it a physical wound, or a mental wound?.

  he did not discuss their eternal future if they obeyed.
