Isn't this stuff technically still 'doctrine?'
I would say yes. I've never seen "new" light on the subject, and it's still available on the WT Library. The rest of the article is just as ridiculous.
.......... This explains so much. Lol

in some few cases the house may be the cause of trouble and the best thing to do is move out.

i hadn't seen this posted here yet.. source via wifibandit on exjw subreddit.. what are your thoughts/comments on this?.
.
I guess this means no more responses to Yahoo! Answers? I knew quite a few pioneers that would flesh out their time doing that. Lol.
This is an odd article. Reading between the lines, they aren't saying what they mean. What it looks like they mean is "Don't regularly preach to those outside your territory. If interest is found, turn it over to the branch office and they'll take care of it". They are hiding that in the dangers of using the Internet for witnessing, making it sound like the internet is the problem. More of their word aerobics...not being clear about what they mean.
$ 1 dollar a week x 8 million jws = $ 8 million dollars a week.
$ 8 million x 52 weeks in a year = $ 416 million dollars a year.
and its all tax free.. you know jws donate more than $ 1 dollar a week!
In my experience as account servant the congregation expenses were covered by very few people. Most contributed nothing - and that includes for the literature. In all my life as a JW the total I contributed over a 30 year period was less than $50.00
This was the same that I experienced. In a congregation of a little less than a hundred, we'd have a few hundred dollars donated each month, usually by the same handful of people, towards the worldwide work. I haven't been a servant since the days of the new mandatory donation, so I'm sure this number has drastically increased.
heyo!.

for those who still pray, and go to the kingdom hall, when was the last article on prayer?
whats the view now?.
king solomon asked that jehovah hear only foreigners who prayed toward gods temple in jerusalem.
The power of prayer was one thing that helped me wake up a little. I sat there thinking when was the last time I really had a prayer answered? When was the last time I ever felt a spiritual connection to my heavenly father in the sky? Answer. Never.
I always assumed that I must be the odd one out, that there was something wrong with me. But I tried my best to be a good person. I tried my best to serve Jehovah no matter how insufficient I felt. I assumed that Jehovah was blessing me because I was going from Mic handler to MS to Literature Servant to Accounts Servant to giving Public Talks. He was giving me so many privileges. He was blessing me in other ways than having this personal connection. But then I realized what assume does - it makes an ASS out of U and ME.
Someone actually has to be there for your prayers to be heard and answered. Otherwise it's like the tooth fairy when a child puts a tooth under the pillow and finds a dollar in its place the next morning. The child believes, but it doesn't make it real. Someone on earth deceived the child - for better or worse.
Same today. We may pray. Sometimes we may even feel that a prayer was answered. But in reality we were deceived. If it wasn't plain coincidence, we probably had a parent (or some other person / good samaritan) looking out for us answering that prayer. Just because someone takes care of one of our needs (answers a prayer) doesn't make God any more real than the tooth fairy.
I sincerely want to believe, but I can't find sufficient evidence.

question: will husband and wife live together after the resurrection is completed, if both are in harmony with god?.
the most that we know is that here will be no children born during the last 100 years of the millinnium (isa.
for those of you who have already faded due to family still being in, have you noticed how the noose is tightening?.
if it's not memorial, it's special day assembly.
if it's not that, it's convention or the special talk.
I've been thinking about the Blood card a lot lately, and I figure that this will be the straw that breaks the camels back for me. Because when they insist that they have a signed copy, I will insist that they do not. I haven't carried a blood card in my wallet for over a year, and I am not going to start now. I've worked in the healthcare industry for a number of years and have a high respect for the HIPPA laws and regulations and will not be signing my rights away to a group of men, no matter how brainwashed and well-intentioned that some of them might be. This may place me on their radar, but that's okay. I would love to be outed for something as ridiculous as this. It would make walking away all that much easier.
"So....why did you get disfellowshipped?"
"Because I refused to sign a No Blood card giving the JW's HLC committee full rights to all my HIPPA protected medical data and let them decide what medical procedures should and should not be performed on me."

after all, those snacks and coloring pencils always assist a child in siting still.... lol
There's just no excuse for that. Everyone knows that candy is an energy food!
I remember watching some old commercials "educating" parents on the value of giving candy to their kids as an energy boost. Lol. The times have changed.
if they knock my door, i want them to explain me what this cartoon mean......
