I'm quite interested in knowing the average age of those of us who use this forum. I made a quick strawpoll that you can find at the following link: http://strawpoll.me/4340636 just pick an age and click "vote" if you wish to participate.

I think you'll find that most on this site are 50 and up.
The oldsters have the most perspective because they can look back through several decades worth of history.
I reckon there are many younger ones here too.

Making this site more "youth friendly" has helped, as has the societies use of the Internet.
It is only a small step from the official site, to a 'google' search of all things witness related...then many people find their way here to this awesome community!

Yes, but the OP was asking about the age of us "who use this forum". I took that to mean posters though I may have interpreted that wrongly.
However, the straw poll shows that the majority of the respondents (lurkers or not) are definitely over 40.

Hi, I'm new here. :-)
This poll goes a long way toward confirming something I have long suspected. I'm a regular on /r/exjw on Reddit, and that demographic definitely trends more toward the < 30 year old crowd. On the other hand, this site seemed to be composed of a much higher percentage of those over 40. I'm about 40 myself, so kind of in the middle.
Just want to say that I have a great deal of admiration for those of you who were able to get out without the assistance of the Internet. We have it so easy, relatively speaking. Cheers to the entire apostate family!
