The hard part for me to swallow is the JW explannation that Jehovah would be so petty and hold a grudge for 6,000 years over this one act of disobedience. The JW theroy that Jehovah has allowed all the pain and suffering for the past 6,000 years to prove a point is sheer foolery.

for more years then i'd like to count, one jw relative has never called to see how i was doing.

today she calls out of the blue, asks how i am, and if there's anything she can do for me.

as of late another jw relative has been a lot more communicative.

Sanctify Gods name

so if i went around my town and told every one that satans name is lucifer will this make satan holy?

I agree with Billy the Bethlite. I also find interesting that Jehovah put 'Babylon the Great' in charge of making sure that we have the Bible today. All those councils if the Catholic Church during the 4th century C.E. that canonized our current Bible. As JW's we accept that Jehovah preserved his WORD intact despite using 'false religion' to do the job. I wonder why Jehovah didn't see to it that his NAME was preserved down through the centuries. Is he ashamed of his name?

it rams lies down our throats, trying to convince us the the wt is god's organisation.

it lies to us about how the wt is doing jehovah's will.. we are going to be subjected to lies, lies and more lies for weeks.

A few years ago, my wife asked me this same question, Who else today are doing Jah's will? She was very concerned since I had become more vocal about the WTBTS and particularly the 'self-appointed' GB. I answered by saying, "How does it glorify Jehovah when we are directed by the GB/fds to preach things for decades that are not true, suchas, 'this generation'. She got my point.

What % of householders would have a clue about the "life saving " message JW`s have brought to their doors these past 100 years.

i`m an optimist and i would say zilch .

i would bet you a million dollars ( if i had a million dollars ) that if you did a survey in the street that you live , asking the householders what is the life saving message jehovahs witnesses bring to your door on a regular basis , they would not have a clue.. and they have been preaching this message for over 100 years .

how inefective can they be .. the probable answers you would get are : they dont take blood transfusions.

Are you kidding me? How many JW's even have a clue about a life saving message? At least 4 pepole per car drive around Saturday morning making a 'call' here and a 'call' there to 'kill' some time before 'break'. After 'break' they make one final 'call' so their time can continue. Occasionally, they may "work" a street where 99% aren't home or don't answer the door. It's only about reporting TIME not a life saving message.

First question asked at a BOE meeting when discussing appointing another Elder or MS is;; (drum roll) "How's his time?"

First question the BOE usually asks of the 'pioneers' is;;(drum roll) "How are you doing with your time?"

More Pioneers. lol

My wife's best friend starting 'pioneering' last year. It was her "heart's desire". She has about 8 BS's but here is the kicker. She studies (baby sits) with 4 kids from the same family of a inactive mother. 4 hours at the same home (baby sitting) studing? Very creative ways to report hours. Heck, I report 3-4 hours per month just to keep the brothers from bothering me. I haven't been in field service for 2 years but I need to keep up appearances until my famnily sees ttatt. Got to report 20 hours per month during KH build a couple of years ago. Scared service they call it. I mean 'sacred service'.

My wife is starting to see the hipocracy and one of my son's sees it clearly but he has a very born-in wife.

Drinking at meetings / assemblies / conventions ... who's done it?

last district convention after having 'read up' (took some family to it).. 2).

last 'meeting' to watch step-father-in-law finally get his and get disfellowshipped for molestation.. ...both were taking vodka shots in the bathroom.. i'm sure there's lots of good stories out there..

The RBC brothers here in central California use 'quick builds' to together with their drinking buddies after the day's work. One of the 'head' brothers even said that was what he liked most about being RBC, didn't have to go home to his wife and got to hang out with his drinking buddies. Lots of drinking after the r and f go home during the so called 'quick builds'.
