first off - for those lurkers who feel guilty just for being on this site and reading this (even if you don't read any further, as it is your right to choose that course) i want you to know that you're not alone in what you're going through or in what you are feeling.
if you read on, i hope my experience may be of some small help to you.. this may be long, but i'll try to organize it in a way that doesn't make it painful to read.
to start, i feel it is most beneficial if i'm upfront and honest with my goals from posting this, which are (in order of the degree to which they motivated me):.
Knowing the truth will ultimately be the best thing you will ever have. It hurts like h*ll at first but healing cannot begin until the wound is cleaned.

sorry if it's already been discussed (i did do a search and did not see anything recent) here on the board.
now that 420 has been legalized in washington and colorado, what is the society's stance on this?
is it viewed the same as alcohol, taken in moderation?
When "the judge" Rutherford wanted to drink booze, it was ok. When NH Knorr wanted to marry, it was ok. When Loushe and Morris wanted to be THE FDS it was ok. If any of the current or future gb members 'need' medical mj, it will be ok. Okay?

i have been in the fading process for over a year now.
nobody has really bothered my wife and me since we've stopped, which i am thankful for.
recently, i've had an old jw friend send me a few text messages relating to business.
Emery
This sounds so much like a discussion between me and my life-long-best friend. He is so determined to make me see the wtbts view of the bible that he thinks that I am a total idiot. He has many doubts but he always uses the"wait on jehovah" theme to get me to rethink. The rethinkis what got me to to wake up to ttatt.
If it's too good to be true; if it's too good to be believed, it probably isn't true or believable!

i have heard over the years from many different people about how jws in those states are unlike elsewhere.
the parties they have, the way they dress and the permissive attitude.
i just heard from a sister that is from florida, that if you are not "spiritually strong" you will "fall out of the truth" down there.
I have always live in CA. I was. at one time, a "super fine apostle" jw. or for most of my life. Life in CA overall is different than other states. Expensive to live here but it's a very nice place to live. Very few rednecks, biggots and "super fine apostles". Good weather, good roads, good geography, and good life style. FL would be my next choice since i love warmer weather.

when i started to date my wife, i started to study with one of the elders.
i later found out he was an especially harsh elder that basically disfellowed an entire generation of young people.
joke is on him because his congregation had to merge with another one and basically has a medium age of maybe 60 years old but that is a whole different thread.. the first thing he said to me when we started to study was do you think you have been deceived by satan?.
When I went to the 2 week 'elder indoctrination school'; 'elders school back in 1972 at Norco CA, we were told not to encourage the brothers (and sister) to refer to the older publications of ths 'society'. What Brother Russell Dixon, pur instructor, was referring to was the writings of Russell and Rutherford. Even he realized that both of those 'brothers' were full of it.
These were his 'do not study' list! lol

The wtbts version of witches are called "apostates". If the wtbts had their way, the would surely deal with 'apostates' the same way the catholic church dealt with witches. Every religion has their way of interpreting the bible and the wtbts is a religion, even though they at one time preached proudly and loudly that "Religion is a snare and Racket!" 'O the times they are a changin'. -bob dylan circa 1965

i just got information that there is going to be a short 10 min meeting.
with elders and ms after the first meeting of the week during the co visit.. this is in addition to the usual elders/ms meeting.. it might just be for my congregation, but is this something new?.
i wonder why.. .
meeting, meeting, meeting, meeting after the meeting, meeting to prepare for the meeting, meeting to prepare for the co, meeeting after the meeting, meet with the pioneers. meeting to prepare for the meeting with the ms's who are freaking, I mean reaching out. Here a meeting, there a meeting, everywhere a meeting, old Mcjw had a meeting, ei.ei,o.
I was meeting'ed to death as an elber (lol). It got to be endless and senseless. My family got neglected and my wife exasperated. No more meetings for me. ei, ei, o.

It's too early in the day to ask such a question. Ask me after 4:20 pm. I'm much more mellow and agreeable to such 'heavy' questions.

were these men anointed christians?
... jesus christ, is not the mediator between jehovah god and all mankind.
I have a lawyer so I don't have to sweat the small stuff!
