  well, i have been lurking on this site for several months and i recently decided to join as a member.

  i have made several observations and would like to make a few comments.. first, i am perplexed by the attitude of many on this site that are either former or active (but apostate) jws.

  they seem to have a strong hatred for the wts and also for rank and file jws.

  Emblem Takers Mentally Unstable?

  "Memorial partakers. This is the number of baptized individuals who partake of the emblems at the Memorial worldwide. Does this total represent the number of anointed ones on earth? Not necessarily. A number of factors—including past religious beliefs or even mental or emotional imbalance—might cause some to assume mistakenly that they have the heavenly calling. We thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know. The Governing Body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones."

  So from the wtbts' point of view, They do not need to know how many of brothers of Christ, there are on the earth? There is no way to know the exact number of Christ's brothers? They do not need to maintain a global network of Christ's brothers?

  WOW! Christ's brothers are less important that how many hours are spent in service, how many magazines are placed, how many rv's are mad, how many bible studies are conducted, how many publishers-pioneers-auxillary pioneers-special pioneers-CO's, congregations, etc. (you get the point).

  Why are they less important?

  Almost makes me want to join the Catholic Church! NOT!

  This pope is like the Catholic version of Ray Franz. Anyway I like him because he has a pair of b**ls. Says what he really believes and doesn't necessarily follow party lines.

  The WTBTS is morphing into something else. (???????) Not exactly sure what. Doctrines are changing. Long held beliefs are being tossed out and replace with 'overlapping' interpretations. This is certainly not the religion it was just 25 years ago. JW. org is now the 'brand' name. Thank god (or whoever) for all these changes! This has certainly awakened awareness in a great many long time jw's, me included. (60 years a jw)

  The total hiprocracy of the wtbts is now very clear to us and for that we should all be thankful. At least we now have "fractions" of truth to help guide us on our journey.

  Is this why the book is grey?

  the 2014 revised edition of "what does the bible really teach?

  " uses the text of the 2013 nwt.

  i therefore assume this is the reason for the grey colour of the "bible teach" book.. examples of the adjustments appear at pages 216 and 217 of the book:.

  JF Rutherfraud would be very dissapointed at the use of only one drab color. In fact, he might have made it a df'ing offence. I'm sure he could have found some obscure scripture to twist, I mean base a df'ing on.

  priorities

  is it just me or is the focus on building projects.

  i read through the study for this weekend and all of the focus was on new building construction.

  i was waiting for them to talk about the ministry, and it was in there, but not as the main priority.. i am amazed after visiting an old congregation of mine back in new england just how few (none) of the publishers had helped out on the new headquarters.

  Good observation about the franchising of Kingdom Halls. The "new arrangement" of paying forever on the kh, i.e. never really paying off the mortage on a kh and the outrageous 'rent' that is charged for the circuit assemblies at the Assembly Hall makes cents (dollars). The money does seem to be drying up though.
