  Do you ever wonder why the god that is so disgusted with sexual immorality has so many juicy 'accounts' of it recorded in the bible for our benefit?

  Not saying that immorality is a good thing but when we read god's 'inspired' word and come across the story of Lot and his 2 daughters getting screwed by daddy, getting pregnant by daddy, and then reading that daddy Lot was a "righteous" man? What?

  David screws Bathsheba, gets her pregnant and has her husband murdered and he's god's buddy? What?

  Most of the "faithful men of old" have multiple wives and concubines (lovers)? What was god thinking when he had these stories preserved "for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight".

  in the photodrama of creation there's a picture of the solar system.. there are 12 solar orbiting objects.

  (also a 13th orbit which seems to be a comet, probably halley).

  does anyone know where russell got this from?.

  since geoffrey jackson's appearance before the australian royal commission on friday there has for some been an expressed feeling of anticlimax.

  it is as though he was given too much latitude to preach, to claim ignorance and to skirt questions.

  more to the point, as much as i myself thought i would never have expected to say this, gj actually came across as likeable and - don't throttle me please!

  We all need to frame his words; "that would be presumptuous" when questioned about the gb being god's spokesmen here on earth. Those words should live on in infamy and he is sure to get a good tongue lashing from the other 6 gb 'gods' when he gets back to Brooklyn.

  Washington Post Covers the Australia RC investigation

  i came across this story in the washington post.

  it's nice to see they are covering the royal commission.

  i have a kindle, everyone who buys one gets free six month subscription (it automatically downloads twice a day) to the post , so i imagine this will get read by a lot of people.

  now the the "flood gates" have been opened in australia with the very public findings of the rc, surely a savvy law firm will file a "class action" lawsuit against the wt in that country---right?.

  imagine the possibilities and the payouts that could result!

  it would very satisfying to see the construction work on as the new jw compounds halted due to lack of funds.

  anyone watching the inquiry would have heard the org's attorney asking that the documents outlining the stucture and mechanics of the wbts be kept confidential.

  all this subversive and clandestine behavior is not helping their image.

  what do you all suppose is potentially damnimg in these documents?

  JW's are a very secretive organization. As a former elder for over 20 years, I can make that statement very truthfully as other former elders will confirm. We were told by a CO back in the 70's that the 'society' undoubtedly now knows when Armageddon will happen, but they keep it SECRET because they don't want to panic the 'brothers'. Stupid me, I believed him!

  Theocratic Warfare

  no doubt we noticed the royal commission ask vin toole (and i think terry o'brien) about the expression "theocratic warfare"?.

  they were asked to explain it and what is meant to witnesses.. vin outrightly lied when he said he "had never heard of that expression!".

  i remember him using that term in conversations and talks many times!!

  Theocratic warfare indeed! This friggin org coins their own phrases to meet any occasion. Slogans/phrases are a big part of this org. "Stay alive till 75"--"Millions now living will never die" "Advertise, Advertise, Advertise" (the wtbts and it's bs) "Armageddon is just around the corner" etc.

  Remember that 'god's friend' Abraham used theocratic warfare to lie to the Pharaoh and others about Sarah being his sister not his wife. So it must be ok! Must be nice to only have to tell the TRUTH when it's convenient or if you are 'god's friend'!

  ROYAL COMMISSION: ARE JWS TAUGHT TO REFRAIN FROM SWEARING ON THE BIBLE OR NOT? JW.ORG PLEASE EXPLAIN!

  during yesterday's rc proceedings (wednesday 5th august 2015), one of the victim's lawyers questioned mr vincent toole, the jw organization's legal counsel for the australian branch office.

  she asked him why at least two of the jw elders who gave evidence last week refused to swear on the bible.

  mr toole appear puzzled by her question and said he did not know.

  Just another fantastic example of how f**ked up this org is. The men in very high positions of responsibility don't know their own written policy. LOL! Stupidity abounds in this org. and what really haunts me is that I was part of it, having to call the 'legal department' before we could make a decision on child molesters! Holy s#*t! Are these guys in Australia calling the 'legal department' to find out if they can swear on the bible? When this is all finished, I hope that they are swearing AT the bible!
