  DVD at elders meeting during circuit visit

  has anyone had a circuit visit this week and seen the dvd for elders/mss?

  i'm guessing it's got an introduction from one of the gb and then demonstrations of how to behave in different situations.

  i'd like to be prepared before seeing it to ask suitable questions.. the (not so) pure one.

  The dvd is fom the GB (another loving provision) so that their will be no rogue CO's out their giving their own opinion to the elders. It will be nice for the friends when all pubic public talks will just be dvd's from the GB and they won't have to suffer through 30 min. boring talks by dull speakers. Most JW's would welcome back the phonograph work---only now they would only need a small ipod. the org wouldn't have to print the stupid "Sample Presentations" on the back of the KM.

  Soon everything from the stage will be a manuscript directly from the GB. No more freelancing!

  Signs and Shirts for 2014? What do you have in mind to celebrate 100 years of Christ Rule from Heaven?

  where are the signs and shirts the professional artist here have designed for jesus christ (according to the jws, not real christians) 100 years of sitting at his father's throne?

  i would like to buy some if you will create a cool photo, let's start getting read for the big celebration!

  what art work would you put on the shirts, the front and the back?

  The 100 year anniversary of "1914" will no doubt come up at the AGM in October. Also introduced will be the new JW dictionary with the true definition of hard to understand words suchas; soon-imminent-truth-lie-blood-cross-worship-obey-donate-shun/love-etc. Words that we cannot possibly understand without the 'spirit directed organization' providing definitions at the proper time.

  I've been a JW since I was 4-5 back in 1952-3. Every few years as we know they need something 'big and exciting' to keep the buzz going. Each year at the DC or International conventions they have a a 'new' release with the samo o same o. all the faithful scrutinize the new release to glean 'new light'. JW's love 'new light' stuff no matter what it is. So, beginning this year I think that all will be invited yearly (you know like another convention)to the AGM so we can feel 'special'. The information is secondary, the fact that all are invited to this 'special' event is the primary thing. Keep the buzz going! Whatever they say will be 'truth' and all JW's MUST accept and believe it, no questions, got it!

  how are the society so happily selling off it's brooklyn real estate for untold millions to clients that they teach and believe will soon have their newly purchased properties pulverised and themselves incinerated when armageddon comes.. should they not be honest and tell all prospective buyers that they won't be owning those properties for very long?

  not a word.. they are just happy to take their truck loads of cash though.

  that's about as disingenuous as it gets.

  So true about the WTBTS's hipocracy. The GB has a a once in a life time opportunity to 'set a good example' with their boat load of cash. They should follow Jesus advice to the young 'rich man' and sell and give to the poor. Not be building 'bigger store houses' for themselves. Why noit set up a fund 'to care for widows and orphans in their tribulation' like James says at James 1:27. James also mentions in that same verse that caring for widows and orphans is the 'form of worship that is clean and undefiled'.

  It`s time the Annointed, male and female , rejected their 2nd class citizenship by the WTB&TS.

  it always puzzled me why those that were accepted as of the annointed class in congregations that i belonged to , and their were quite a few , never had any say in congregational matters , were not elders or ministerial servants , and had no input whatsoever in the running of a congregation.no matter how trivial .. in effect they were second class citizens ,in their own congregations despite the fact their destiny was to rule with christ in the heavens over all mankind for a thousand years.. i would encourage them to band together and take on the authourotative / dictatorial attitude that the wtb&ts has against them , putting them down all these years.. the memmorial of 2014 would be an appropiate time for the annointed to come of age and take back control from a group of wannabes .. smiddy.

  Annointed? Really? Are they annointed by the same Holy Spirit the guides the appointment of elders and ministerial servants? The first thing you need to check if you are annointed; Is your field service record at or above the national average, and are you visible in field service. If so, THEN we can go on to the SCRIPTURAL qualifications for anointing!

  JW's planning for retirement

  i had an interesting discussion with a jw family member recently and he brought up his plans for retirement.

  according to his age bracket, this will not be for another 20 years or so.

  he plans to buy land, build a house, move the parents nearby.

  I think that JW's are beginning to see the folly of not planning for the future. They see the org planning big construction projects that will take years and I think that it's sinking in that the big A is not coming sooooooooooon, just around the corner.

  Like I told my JW wife, if the org thought the big A was sooooon they would just lease property and not get involved in very expensive, time consuming building projects. It will take millions of dollars and 10's of thousands of man hours labor to build the new headquarters. That money and time should be spent preaching don't you think?

  what is the origin of "theocratic warfare" and jehovah's witnesses being able to freely life if they feel it's for the "greater good" of the watchtower?

  i asked the elder if jesus christ ever lied, he said "yes, jesus refused to answer questions from people!

  " can you show me where this is in the bible?

  I was dipped at 12 yo in a small pool under the stage at a KH in East LA. 3 got dipped that day. Knowing that that was the 'most important decision of my life', I'm glad I got it out of the way when I was 12. All my decisions since then have been much easier!
