No apologies from me for being an elder. I admit that I was duped into thinking it was a "privilege". I never 'voted' to DF anyone during my 15 years as an elder. I always used the scriptures at John 7:53-8:11 with my fellow elders to show how forgiving Christians should be. WOW! the WTBTS eliminated those scriptures from their new Silver Bible! O well, I guess I won't "reach out" for the "privilege" of being an elder again!

jw literature is racist as hell.
jesus looks like an american folk singer, the governing body look like a corrupt version of an enron luncheon.. the jw's literally print different magazines for africa with african pictures, black people instead of white, to make it 'more appealing' to them.... just to be clear that means they think the opposite is true too!.
....and then there is the lack of black angels..... .
Let's be real honest! WTBTS is a 'white man's' religion that due to "God's" (FDS's) undeserved kindness made room in their hearts to "accept" the downtrodden people of color! Took over 125 years for a man of color to to become a member of the elite GB. Being 'Politically Correct' is very important to the WTBTS these days. The latest 'new release" illustrates my point. When the new Silver Bible came out, it was only in English (white man's language).

it seems, if i am interpreting the documents correctly, that many in the organization might reject good forensic evidence of a crime just because there aren't two or more (human) witnesses to back it up.. a quick look at the watchtower concordance reveals that all sorts of things can act as a 'witness' - such as a pile of rocks.. in john, jesus claimed that 'his works' acted as a witness.. actually, forensic evidence can offer more accurate 'testimony' than humans and is often superior.
in any case, this 'two witness' stuff is rubbish, even from a biblical point of view.

According to NWT at Revelation 11:3,4, Olive Trees and Lampstands can also be the 2 witnesses.
3 "And I will cause my two witnesses to prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days dressed in sackcloth.” 4 These are [symbolized by] the two olive treesand the two lampstands and are standing before the Lord of the earth".

so, harold camping has died at the age of 92. no more end of the world predictions from him.
he apparently went into hiding after his last predictions didn't come true..
Harold may be dead but there are 8 guys in Brooklyn that will no doubt come up with a "nu-lite" date for the big "A". The date will 'be implied' not actually stated per se! Just saying!

laughter is regarded as one of the exercises that you all the masses can practice irrespective of the age factor.
studies have proved that laughter indeed is the best medicine when it comes to helping one to improve his mental and physical health immediately.
there are several benefits of laughter that makes it a special behavior.

I "served" as an elder on 2 different occassions. From 1972-79 and again from 2000 till 2010. I quit the first time because of doubts after 1975. I was "appoointed by Holy Spirit" again in 2000 so I could help reign in some of the stupid stuff that was happening in our congregation. It sort of helped. I quit believing after 1995.

I met Lyman Swingle when he came to deliver the 'dedication' talk for our new KH back in the late 80's here in central California. He seemed very nice and even sort of humble for a guy that had been at Bethel so long. I admire him in a "kinda-sorta way". Didn't he stand up for Ray during the inquisition at first? That's the impression I got from CofC. Anyway he caved in at the end as so many of us have due to peer pressure. Damn peers! Just saying!

i am very interested in hearing from people who really think that people with tattoos are somehow weird or cagey individuals.
i would just like to get your outlook on this matter.
today i was in a grocery store and i sawe this guy with his two kids and his wife shopping.
Where can we get tattoos of THE Governing Body? and where would be the appropriate spot on our body to have said tattoos placed?
