  Reorganization Branches Belgium and The Netherlands

  the belgium branche of jw in kraainem will be closed.. the netherlands branche of jw in emmen will be reorganized into an ict devolpment office.. all the oldtimers jw staff in emmen is told they have to leave, they are dismissed.. of course it will be explained that the organization is on the move, a blessing from jehovah.. gorby.

  i dont see anyone else mentioning it, so i will: last night at the service meeting there was a letter read, from the most holy 8.. a request for more workers!

  and this one with new addendums!

  i am pulling from memory, but pretty sure i have it right (feel free to correct me if someone else hears the letter too).. .

  Yea, kinda of strange that things that most normal people in this world today would consider immoral and sadistic are NOT comdemned in the Bible.

  Things like ethenic cleansing or genocide. --God commanded it. Slavery----- the Bible never condemns it and even talks nice about it. Polygamy-- it was ok for the Kings of Israel and only those who were "reaching out" needed to be husband to one wife. Okay to screw another mans wife if you are the king! So much sh***t in the Bib;e that don't jive.

  Did any bethelites here see first hand books of magic and witchcraft in their library?

  another thread made me remember hearing rumors of books of witchcraft and such found in if not the main library a restricted library at bethel, for research purposes.

  i wonder if anyone here had seen those first hand and if so, what exactly were the names of the books?

  When an organization is started by a man that believes the Great Pyrmaid of Giza is "God's word written in stone" and there is such a thing as "miracle wheat", wouldn't you expect books on magic, witchcraft, and vodoo in the WTBTS library?

  What Armageddon is the book of Revelation refering to?

  someone asked me what revelation was talking about when it mentions armageddon.

  if it's not like witnesses say, then what is it, and when?

  i would really appreciate some info on this as i have not seen too much on this subject..

  It was the invisible Armageddon of 1918 when Rutherford and his 'boys' went to prison. You know, right after the invisible presence of Jesus in1914. Can't argue with something that's invisible.

  am i the only one that finds it funny that the organization's campaign this month is to offer a printed magazine that is simply an ad for a website?

  what's more is they have printed close to 50 mil copies which will be delivered by an army of volunteers who drive minivans and knock on the doors of empty houses repeatedly until they find someone at home...... can you imagine facebook going door to door to spread the word about how awesome their site is?.

  1963-1965 Monday night ice skating in Pasadena in So Cal. Ladies got in free on Mondays. Got to meet other JW's from different congos. Great fun and nice to meet girls not in your cong. Just clean fun without WT supervision. Part of the good times I had as a young JW.

  Anyone Can be baptised - Can't they?

  does a new convert have to be approved for baptism by the elders or someone similar i wonder?.

  years ago, at a circuit assembly, i came across a young man whose jw father had thrown him out of the family home because of his abusiveness.

  he'd got nowhere to go so he travelled south and finished up attending our local assembly.

  Wonder why the first century Christians didn't need to be vetted with 100 questions before they got baptized? Their baptism was probably 'invalid'. Maybe that's the reason there was no "faithful and discreet slave" class until 1919.

  It don't take much to get rank and file jw's excited. Remember every summer at the DC receiving a new release and all the dubs being just giddy about the new release. Then just a few years later we found out that all the 'stuff' in the new release was 'old light' and so now a new new release would be released to release us from the false information released from previous releases. i released my 'position' as an elder and dub due to too many false releases. Whew!

  Jesus walked or rode on donkeys to show he was not materialisic. Why do CO's and DO's need new cars every 4-5 years? Why does the WTBTS need a new, multi million dollar complex? Why do so many elders, MS's, and wannbe's need expensive suits, shirts, ties, and shoes?
