paragraph 20 out of the article in the sept 2014 study wt about fulltime service says this.... .
"full-time servants age, and so do their parents.
when parents are witnesses, likely their fondest wish is for their children to stay in their assignments.
They know that more and more, even the long time, full times jw's are looking for an excuse to get out of their situation. By having aging relatives to care for is a perfect excuse to resign. The org is trying to discourage this from happening by using the old guilt trip plan---"jehober needs you more than your aging parents".

if you read the chapter 23 of the book of 1 kings, you will note that josiah was one of best kings of judah.
he did many good things in favor to yahweh-worshipping.
let's read:.
One of my favorite "O my god" bible accounts is when Lot escaped destruction of Sodom and Gomorah. His wife became a pillar of salt for her lack of faith, but his 2 daughters became his casual 'lovers' as a reward for their faith. What a lucky and guy he was. 2 nights with 2 different lovers and 2 successful pregnancies. what a stud. Fornication, incest, and drunkeness was ok for him because later on in the bible at 2 peter 2:7 he is referred to as "righteous Lot because he was greatly distressed by the bad law-defying people of loose conduct in Sodom??????????? WOW!

i have often wondered how the wt gets away with this.
every other "non-profit" or charitable group i know of that takes in donations, has a board, etc must publicly show how they spent their money, how many donations have been given, their assets, etc.
even the individual congregations read the accounts each month and post them on the bulletin board.
I've heard that they do file financial statements. It's just that 'it's' invisible to human eyes. One must have eyes of understanding to 'see'. Or not!

spotted while doing some research:.
*** g71 10/8 p. 27 time of rest and refreshment at hand ***.
as we near the end of 6,000 years of human history in the mid-1970s there is the thrilling hope of a grand relief.. this looks like a more conclusive statement about 1975 than what the wt has written in other places.. can it mean anything other than armageddon is coming in 1975 - the "end of 6000 years of human history"?.
Marked,
So many of our friends have virtually ruined, or at least wasted the better part of their lives because of the wtbts's bullsh*t predictions, date setting, and hype. The crap that the org has dangled so deliously before us, aka a "panda petting paradise", really doesn't affect the "bethel boys" aka gb, aka 'faithful slave' because they live in an institution unaffected by the ups and downs of the economy. So the fact that the never to be seen "panda petting paradise" isn't a reallity, is no sweat of their bal** (bald heads). Sadly we all bought into the "hope" at one time. Even more tragic is that many still hold onto it.

please spare a moment to consider the difiiculties faced by gay jehovahs witnesses.
i was raised and baptised as a very serious jw.
every waking moment of my day was lived for jehovahs and his organization and for nothing else.
The hardship of being a 'STRAIGHT' jehovah's witness is pretty gut wrentching too.

so i read some threads about why someone remains a ministerial servant or elder, or why they are still active jw's.
others are telling stories about how they cut back slowly, and some of them got removed as ms/elder/pioneer or whatever.
yet others tell of how they just up and stopped going one day.
otwo
i too was an elder when i first realized fully ttatt. i resigned within 6 months and i've been fading ever since, about 7 years now. i'm inactive but my dear wife is still active. 3 of my 4 children have seen that i no longer believe and they too have started to fade. we have not yet had a full on discussion regarding ttatt, but they are smart enough to figure it out for themselves that the only reason that they are jw's is because their mom and i forced it on them same as we had it forced on us. i have hope for my wife because she has accepted my 'awakening' and often asks questions. she has a 87 year old jw mother that she still needs to appease.

when i think back on when i started losing faith in the borg it all becomes kinda fuzzy.
even when i was 19, a pioneer an ms and the local golden boy i clearly remember lying about my field service time every month.
if i really feared jehovah there's no way i would of done that.
i thought that i feared jah but it was really the displeasing of my mom (and the brothers that i looked up too) that i really feared. since i was very young i often wondered why jah didn't take better care of his 'name' people. when i realized/saw that jw's suffered just like all others, even though jah could have helped them, it was then that i stopped fearing jah and maybe i also stopped believing in jah too.

so, witlesses are handing out assembly invitations locally for their gatherings to invite the public to attend...... .
a meeting that's 50, 100, 150 miles away?
there was an era when placards were put in storefront windows and bombastic sermons were delivered by radio.
I'm still waitng on seeing "the stones cry out". that will convince me of the importance of preaching the jw message.

if someone asked you for information regarding your identity, would you tell them?
.
Ok, my real name is Steve, i know that it's a unique name but I don't mind if you call me Steve. What the hell, my dear old mom calls me Steve so it must be ok.
