Finding homes for the former 'bethelites' and 'special pioneers'
by Esse quam videri insince the liberal government has been elected in canada, it seems that people are looking to the future with a little more optimism and hope.
it is only human nature that with change, we would think that the change would be for the better.
the courts have ruled, in canada, that it is unconstitutional to deny the homeless the right to sleep in parks.

An adopt-a-bethelite program? This is not a bad idea! I have a cousin and her husband that were recently given their 'pink slip'. They were none to happy about it. They both feel that they had been overly used and now they're just kicked to the curb.I have been using every opportunity to subtlety introduce them to ttatt. Given their current state of mind, they are really receptive and a bit shocked by what they are hearing. I think it's a good time to help all those that have been crapped on by wtbts see ttatt and it may not be very difficult.Hey we can use our old watchtower training. Catch people when they are down, have lost something dear to them, and while they are vulnerable.just saying!eyeuse2badub -

I have a version of "facial recognition software" myself. Actually most of us have it.
My wife and I are retired. We travel quite a bit making lots of stops in various cities. I have been using my smart phone, getting real close to the subjects, and taking lots of candid photos and short videos of; 'witnesses' supposedly doing the infamous 'metropolitan cart' work. I later show them to my jw wife and other jw friends and innocently say something like, "is this really preaching, or I'm sure that this is not what Jesus had in mind". It's hard to defend some of these photos. lol
It's friggin' embarrassing (even to me) to 'witness' (pun intended) what these poor brothers and sisters are doing while "attending" these metal carts and call it preaching. I'm putting together a slide show to be released soon.
It's become really interesting and fun to observe this 'time wasting' endeavor. To me, it's much better than confronting these "carters" and trying trap them or to put them on the spot. Mostly, I feel sorry for them. Remember too, most of us were once in there shoes and would have stood naked on the sidewalk if the borg would have told us to do so!

About 'Regular' Pioneers
by Gayle innow that district overseers have been deleted, now that bethelites are being devalued and increasingly dismissed, now that special pioneers are being deleted in u.s., and maybe elsewhere gradually.
who would have ever thought?.
yet, now what is the value to be a regular pioneer to the org?

The 'doors of opportunity' within the borg are closing. The only title that carries any real weight is Governing Body.

Where has all the money gone?
by gingerbread ina number of years ago when i was still active, our service group was having a coffee break with the visiting circuit overseer.
during the conversation he mentioned that the "society" was now being run like a business.
being raised in the "truth" i thought that rather odd (and my eyes began to be opened!

Amen brother. Excellent summation! Do you think the next step for watchtower is to go from anonymous contributions to regulated (direct withdrawal from a bank account) "contributions"?
It looks to me that watchtower is going to have to mirror the mormons even more than they do already.

What is the Real Financial Cost of a Circuit Assembly?
by FairMind inmy congregation along with about thirty others attends circuit assemblies at a facility that is owned by the organization (a converted school).
this building also has a section that serves as a kh for three local congregations.
i have noticed that when the financial reports are read at the assemblies that the expense (which is not detailed) is always around $4,000.

Expect the amount to continue to go up. The borg's gotta get money somehow now that their printing empire is drying up. We can always hope that wtbts will go the way of thousands of newspapers. OUT OF BUSINESS!

WT Mtg "read scriptures" are only to be read by a 1 brother???

Hey, it's another way to put you 'sister' in your proper place. You're only good for being pioneers and kh cleaners. If you sisters don't like it---quit! Now that's an idea!
(disclaimer; just kidding sisters)

Sales is the lifeline for every corporation. Sales dry up and corporations go bankrupt. Business basics 101 right?
What is the Watchtower Corporation selling now? It ain't printed literature nor 'miracle wheat' that's for sure. They can only sell so much real estate before the 'rank and file' rebel. "The end is near" for the wtbts. Let us pray.

slimboyfat7 years ago besides, if the wts went non-print, what the heck would all the dubs push from door to door?single leaf tracts, like is becoming the trend.. booby7 years agothey are already making it clear that their are costs incurred at their download site, so they will still convince the dubs to provide an income stream even without the printed version.

Searcher
Disquieting thought. Dubs can 'fudge' the numbers on the field service report and no one really checks up on it, but when it comes to monitoring your bank account it would be very difficult to fudge your "donation" amount if the borg "lovingly" suggests a direct bank transfer. Holy sh*t!

We Are Not Witnesses For JEHOVAH - According to the Bible
by The Searcher injehovah gave his worshippers a prophesied new name, (isa.
62:2; acts 11:26) but in j.f.
rutherford's eyes it was not distinctive enough from a marketing point of view, (having restructured "the business" after its severe contraction in the 20s due to his failed 'vision') so he came up with a name which featured the creator's distinctive name, "jehovah's witnesses" - a business strategy employed in those days by kellog and many others.. we now describe them as 'designer names'.. here are the scriptural proofs, but of course, they may count for nothing in some people's eyes because the "glorious ones" in brooklyn say differently!

Great thread! I copied and pasted the list of 28 scriptures showing that jw's should be jesus witnesses. I have shared it with my still-in wife. She didn't comment, but she definitely though about it!
