Watchtower's Illogical Teachings

here are a few of the problems of logic i see in their doctrines.
perhaps you can add to them.. systemic contradictions – jws boast about fighting for religious freedom – that is their freedom to share their differing views with people outside the organization - yet there is no freedom amongst members to disagree with any official teaching within the organization without the threat of losing friends and family.

well here we are, 2017, and still no armageddon, no 'great' tribulation', no 'paradise earth'.
however, the "good news" is that we can now celebrate 102 years under 'kingdumb rule'.

Think of the wondrous things jehober has accomplished in the past 102 years. Hundreds of millions have died horrific deaths as our loving father looks on, "millions now living" are now starving to death, the wtbts has apparently hit a growth snag, but the amazing thing is that we have just about completed our magnificent new temple in Warwick. Praise jah all you people!
Don't drink too much and have a happy prosperous new year and if jehober doesn't interrupt history, will be able to celebrate 103 years of 'kingbumb rule' next year!

by anointed1 inezekiel 16 gives a brief history of israel.
surprisingly, it has no resemblance with what we already know about israel—their origin and progress as given in the prophecy genesis 22:15-18 and also in the description that follows.
ezekiel repeatedly says (16:2, 45) “your ancestry and birth were in the land of the canaanites; your father was an amorite [descended from one of the sons of canaan (genesis 14:7), occupied large parts of southern mesopotamia, and their god was amurru] and your mother a hittite [ancient anatolian people who established an empire centered on hattusa].

The Old Testament accounts are just as historical and accurate as any other ancient civilizations' mythological accounts. After all they are just Hebrew mythology and nothing more!

"With Armageddon 'just around the corner', why are we spending hundreds of thousands of 'sacred service' hours building stuff instead of doing the "vital" preaching work?"

If you are in a situation like mine, 65 year old born-in jw, all your close friends are (sort of) jw's, most of your family members are jw's, you're not a militant apostate, you want to swing from both sides so to speak, I'd advise , tickle their ears, nod in agreement, thank them for their 'loving concern', assure them that you will try to apply their 'loving counsel'. When they leave, pop a beer or pour yourself your favorite drink and be satisfied that you used their own weapon against them---'theocratic warfare'.

Noah a Preacher of Righteousness?
by Spoletta induring the watchtower study today, i browsed genesis and looked for evidence of noah ever preaching to anyone.
from what i could glean from the scriptures, it was a foregone conclusion that noah's family would be it on the ark.
(unless they towed some rafts behind) my wife says that building the ark could be considered a witness of his faith to the wicked world, but that seems kind of lame to me.. so, should i just assume that god decided not to give anyone else a chance for redemption?

If Noah(and his family) were preachers of righteousness, then they were g'damn lousy preachers, IMHO! How could they possibly preach that many years and not convert even one soul?
As Blondie metnioned,

that jehober did not bless his ministry! How heartwarming and fulfilling it must have been for Noah and his family to have witnessed such a thrilling vindication of jehober's name as millions got to drown to death.

When we first heard about this horrific event, we were stunned and saddened like so many others. My jw wife's reaction was, "Jehovah will surely remember him in the resurrection". My apostate reply to her was, "Well I certainly hope so, but it would have been much more loving of God to have stepped in and protected his loyal servant from dying in such a horrific manner".

I will admit that the wt society did help increase the desirability of the Brooklyn Heights area. They showed how run down property in that neighborhood could be restored. After all, the labor was basically free so why not?

What's Expected in Field Service?
Show up and endure the next 1-2 hours of utter non sense trying to avoid anyone that really has a real question! It's only important to show up which makes a pretense of righteousness!
