Thank God For Disfellowshipping!
by Nicola.threeangelsmessage ini had the misfortune of being born into the jw faith.
however, i thank god every day that i was disfellowshipped otherwise i would never have found the truth.
good riddance to the watchtower bible track societys false publications, especially that book they claim contains the holy scriptures it is deceitful and full of darkness, and gets darker with every revision!

The Atheists on here mean well. They might not be super nice but I have met some jerk Theists too. It's all about balance. As long as they aren't arrogant or sarcastic, I am good. I am leaning more towards becoming an Atheist but won't snipe at my Theist brothers. :) Open to what you have to say as long as you are open too. -

JWINQUESTION
Welcome!
I am still an active JW that has learned TTATT (still in for family reasons). Currently in the middle between Atheism and Theism (although slightly leaning more towards Atheism but I am open). Most of the Atheists here mean well like "cofty". Yes, they are frank but they just want you to arrive to conclusions through logic. Just keep doing your research to arrive to what is best for you. Whether you believe in God or become Atheist, it is up to you, as long as it's not impeding on the rights of others or advocating your way as something all should follow. I know some people can be a bit rude on here but don't let it stop you from seeking more knowledge. :) Hope to hear more from you.

Having Faith in the Bible
by william draper ini know many on here have lost faith in the bible , is it possible that is because ones do not have the right perspective regarding it .
we have usually been taught by bad teachers , or ignorant .
i believe if we take an honest look at the bible , we will see that it gives us the best answers to crucial matters , it gives us some amount of bearings ( understanding ) , which without having such knowledge we would all be more like walking zombies in amanner of speaking , we would be lacking hope in something better , for surely something better is to come , how can we be sure , .

Hello WD,
Greetings! :) I haven't posted in a while but just want to say thank you for opening up this topic. It is sad how some people are insulting your post. I had some insult my first post as well. As one who is in the middle between Atheism and Theism (although slightly more towards now to Atheism) just keep doing research. I for myself am doing research as well digging deeper in the bible as well as Atheism. Even if I do become full fledge Atheist, I would still respect your belief in the bible. My advice is to keep doing your research. If you have more to explain your reasons in faith in the bible, I won't mock or turn you down. Again thanks for opening up this thread. I would like to hear more from you. :)

@Simon
I'm actually interested in what he has to say.
@Cry2Jesus
No problem bro. My apologies as well. Guess I was just anxious to hear a response. Do you have any other evidence other than "personal testimonies" that back up your strong faith? I mean there are many "personal testimonies" of JW's just as strong as yours that I have read in the Watctower.

Why Do Atheists Struggle So Much Against God Who Supposedly Doesn't Exist?
by Perry inan athist made this casual statememt on another thread:.
this would suggest to me that there are at least some atheists that do have consistant beliefs.. .
as an atheist, how could he possibly trust the reason that suggests this to himself?

@Twitch
Left in a sense that they "know" what is "right and true" and no need for them to hold a debate and be in a forum with Atheist posters?
Or left in a sense that they know their teachings and faith are easily exposed by Atheist? So they leave since they know they can't win a debate with an Atheist.

I'm also curious why another poster "cry2jesus" hasn't responded to my post about Christianity as well. I'm in the middle of Atheism and Theism at this point. I respect all theists and atheists.
Before I say anything to Perry, I'll give him some time to formulate an answer to us all before I say this was a "hit and run" situation. Everyone deserves some patience and time for him to comeback with a reply. Personally, I'm rather fast at replying to someone and know others who take a day or two to respond back. Seems fair to give him some time to answer back to us.
As someone who is in the middle of Atheism and Theism, if my research concludes that Atheism is more logical, I will go with that path but still respect the theists on here. If it makes them happy to believe in a God so be it. But they shouldn't push on their beliefs to Atheists and vice versa.
Again good day to you Perry. We are all anxiously waiting to hear what you have to say. :D

This is what I want to know from him as well. For the record, even if I were to go full on atheist mode, I would still respect other theists beliefs and learn from them, explore why they beleieve such things and vice versa. Not here to attack you cry2jesus. Just want to know your input on my posts to your thread.

I'm saddened that you haven't replied to any of my questions. At least some of the atheists here have given me some thoughts to think about. As someone who is in the middle of Theism and Atheism I would expect someone of Christian faith to try to get me to "their side" to be saved by Jesus.

Vivianne does have a point. With all due respect, you are being kind of ignorant to him/her. Again that is being said with the outmost respect. Don't want to sound like a jerk or anything on here. Curious what would your response be to Vivianne. If Christianity is your stronghold, I'm pretty sure you would have strong factual evidence to support your beliefs unlike the JW's. I'd like to believe in a higher being (Jesus, Yahweh) but if my research concludes that Atheism is the most logical path, then I will accept it.

I respect your views. Don't know for sure if Jesus is the way just yet but I'm open to it. Thanks for sharing. I'll look up into Christianity more. I say if you really wanted to reach a JW to the path of Jesus, just do it discreetly.
@Viviane
Are you an atheist? I'm sorta in the middle between Theism and Atheism. I've talked to you before on my very first post that I made here. Hope you are doing well. You are a person with very few words but I appreciate your contribution to the threads here.
