i remember flicking through my ex girlfriends copy of the "proclaimers" book back last year, and there was a page with the pictures of the gb at the time (roundabout 1992 with henschel, jaracz et al).

apart from noticing that the gb was totally comprised of males (well, with the wt's almost neanderthalitic view of women, you wouldnt expect a female contingent within the gb would you?

), i noticed that they all seemed to be white, and, judging by some of the names, probably american.

wow, there is a lot of newbies lately, heck i've only been here 3-4 months, has the watchtower been having lots and lots of talks on apostate sites ???

why do you suppose there are so many new people joining in ???.

During the protestatnt reformation - the printing press had been invented and the "established and mother church" was scared shitless by it -- presses were destroyed and the inquisition started -- hell common people could raed the scriptures in thier own language!!!.

The WTBTS simililarly called the television when invented Satans tool. Any invention that helps the free flow of information like the internet scares any high control organization like the WTBTS. Randy Waters published a series of articles on this subject over the last 2 or 3 years www.freeminds.org . So in my opinion, if history teaches us anything -- which it always does and should, the number of newbies on this site (and others) who like truth and free flow of infomation will continue to grow. The internet is a genie that is out of the bottle and can not be put back in -- the sooner the WTBTS realize and accept this -- the better it will be for them.

I hate it -- the traffic is terrible especially around the Birmingham area - Ithink there is 1 big freeway (motorway?) joining another and then about 22 others join it is just crazy. Driving on the left is OK when you get used to it.

WHY THE HELL DO I STILL FEEL GUILTY??!!

ok, i've known for a long time now that this is not "the one true religion", but i can't for the life of me, seem to make the final break.

i seldom go to meetings and am usually bored out of my mind when i do go, but for the life of me, after i've missed about 3 or 4 weeks i start feeling guilty about "missing meetings" and i'll go.

i'm really frustrated and angry with myself that i can't make the break, but in all honesty, there's still some people at the hall that i care about and i guess i'd miss them if i left completely.

yes I feel exactly the same -- still go from time to time - even go on the preaching work now and again -- guilt is the motivator -- not love or because I want to -- so I understand what you are saying

elders who will not make shepherding calls to comfort their brothers and sisters but as soon as that brother or sister puts one little foot out of line those same f-----g (sorry about the language but it really angers me and turns me off) elders can not move fast enough to form a judicial committee and then are so unmerciful - it makes me want to vomit literally

it said that males who ejaculated more than six times a week in their teens to late 20s were less likely to get prostate cancer.

godalmighty - does this mean that being good boys now puts us at risk??.

HOW busy is this board now?

am i just imagining it - is it because i now treat my addiction to this site by restricting my time - or is it actual?

are the topics turning over faster now?

mouthy said she is finding it hard to keep up so am i. sometimes you need to go back half a dozen pages to see if there was a response to a post.. i wonder, however, if this isn't because people don't choose which section of the forum to post on, they just submit a new post under "active topics" instead of friends , doctrine, blood and medical, humor, adult, or whatever.. you need to get in real quick.

I must admit I struggle to keep up - I tend to use Randy www.freeminds.org and let him pick the really hot interesting topics -- cheating I know --but it helps reduce time spent - -so I can spend it on all tha t good stuff like study/preperation/meeting attendance and filed service (actually that is BS but I am sure you knew that) -- yes the board does seem to have got busier -- seems after all the recnet events child abuse/UN/ etc. etc. that more witnesses and others just do not worry the same as they once did and the more the GB rants and raves the more they come online and use the net - -as 3rd world and other countries get the internet I am sure the trend will increase
