Iceman Mummy Was Meat Eater Pre Flood

according to the news, the "iceman" mummy discovered frozen, well preserved and the object of much scientific study, is 5,000 years old.
this dates his existence to about 3000 bce, well before the flood.. below is today's msnbc news report on what they found in his stomach, and it raises an obvious question: did man eat meat prior to the flood?

almost certainly some men ate meat prior to the flood - which is pretty certain was not global -- but around and localized to the then known world -- the land around the Mediterranean (literally middle of the earth)/Black sea etc -- plenty of good books on this subject backed up by good scientific evidence -- yes I know Italy is around the mediteranean. I had a good old LOL when I read the posted suggestion it must have been Abel because Cain was a veggie. So the Genesis account obviously is not a literla account but written in language that people could relate to -- and possibly embellished slightly. To them a local flood over the known world would be a global flood -- but has been proven could not literally cover all mountain tops all over the globe

2002/03 service year (pubs include all pioneers).
sep - pubs: 971,346 pioneers: 88,341. oct - pubs: 972,450 pioneers: 91,101. nov - pubs: 973,067 pioneers: 89,083. dec - pubs: 895,241 pioneers: 90,654. jan - pubs: 986,419 pioneers: 89,325. feb - pubs: 983,963 pioneers: 89,251. mar - pubs: 1,003,431 pioneers: 87,878. apr - pubs: 991,499 pioneers: 87,377. may - pubs: 992,412 pioneers: 86,884. jun - pubs: 963,000 pioneers: 84,900. figures for jun are approximates as i only glanced at the sep km and do not have it yet.. but there is a clear indication that despite all the talks to do more and pioneer, and the aug km talk on.

I do not put too much empahsis on these monthly figures myself -- Pattern looks normal -- usually the August figures are highest (Peak Publishers) they then tend to drop throughout the year with possible surges in March/April -- memorial lseason and auxilliary pioneer campaigns etc. The interesting figure and the one that means most to me is the average publishers thru the year -- Usually posted in Janaury 1st Watchtower -- you might see this figure as essentially static. Last August 2002 I think the peak pub figure was over 1000000 for the USA. If you base your discussion on averages it is much more revealing -- trend has been down in publishers since 1994/95 (generation teaching) and especially in Europe/Japan etc.
You are absolutely correct to observe a downward trend in pioneers - again a trend seen over most of the world-- nothing to do with the hour requirement - the average witness expected armageddon a long time ago and it just aint come -- so they are doing less and feeling let-down -- look at most countries on total hours also -- that trend is also downwards

every so often, paticularly near the end of the morning and afternoon sessions, those sisters were doing the contribution box walk.

Yes -- in my opinion designed to induce guilt -- which ever way you look at it -- not very Christian -- you received free -give free I think Jesus said - as well as providing wine at a wediing in Cana, Bread and Fish at other famous miracles --- but the WTBTS always manages to produce guilt feelings -- either not contributing enough or not doing enough in service -- there is never a Well Done brothers it always do more, more, more, --- I hate it - it makes me want to vomit

Qualifications of Elders
by iiz2cool inin my experience with elders in the past i was counseled for many things, most trivial and stupid, but some were serious issues.
one thing i noticed was that the elders always seemed to approach issues with some preconceived ideas, or they would try to read between the lines rather than actually listen to what i was saying.
others i know have had similar experiences.

on june 12, 1995, at 1530 alaska daylight time, a wheel equipped cessna 402b airplane, n710ws, registered to and operated by the watchtower bible organization and tract society, collapsed its nose gear while taxiing back after landing.
the business flight, operating under 14 cfr part 91, departed good news, alaska, and the destination was tuntutuliak, alaska.
