Clay - He always does an amazing job. Both songs were great! I never heard that song by Karen Carpenter. In fact I don't think I ever heard that song before. I will definitely download that tonight. Thanks for the info. I voted for Clay

Ruben - He is always amazing too! I loved his second song. That was the best. The Temps song he did was never one of my favorites so I just thought Ruben was all right on that song. Definitely voted for him.

Kimberly Locke - She is a great singer and performer. I have just one problem with her. I don't like the tone of her voice. Sometimes it sounds nice. But over all I really don't think her voice is pretty. So unless she comes out with some spectacular song I would never buy a CD of her. I did vote for her.

Trenyce - I think last night her singing was excellent. She is a great singer and she has a nice tone. I didn't like what she was wearing for the Tina Turner song. She was way over the top appearance wise. (IMHO) She should have dropped the hair or the clothes. I still don't think America likes her too much so I think she will get the boot tomorrow night. I did vote for her. It took a lot for me to overlook the clothes and hair but I did.

Josh - Sucky singer!!!!!!!!!! His second song was really bad. The first was all right. I feel bad for him he is way out of his league now. I hope he gets voted off. That would be the fair choice. He needs a vocal coach big time. He just mimics country singers the ones who sing through their noses. And that isn’t good!!! I did not vote for Josh.

a few things come to mind.drop the fake ass british accentamerica is not interested in a "spiritual" pop starkaballah is just another religion, regardless of your argument that it is not.

You Can Say That Again!!!

Now with that said I have to agree with SpiceItUp on one point here:

Someone made the statement about her wanting to protect her daughter. Well if it was reversed then all you would be doing is saying what a bad parent she is. You can't have it both ways. All your statement shows is that she is doing her best to be the best parent she can. Why is that so wrong? So her values have changed over the years...big deal that happens to everyone.

I am glad Madonna has matured to some degree. Having children must have really made her take a good, long, hard look at herself. She is trying to become a good parent to her children by setting a good example for them. I know I know it is probably in vain. Her kids are going to grow up and see how she was before they came along. Hopefully, it will not affect them in any negative way. I said " hopefully".

I will add a little more in the spirit of Madonna Bashing:

She cannot act or sing!!!! He fake accent has got to go!!!!!!!!!!

But, I do enjoy her music.

Remodeling the Kingdom Hall

i always wondered why we remodeled our kh.

there wasn't really anything wrong with it.

i could see painting or putting in new carpet when needed.

I understand your point of view. Some of the stories floating on this board seem a little over the top. However, I do believe almost all of the personal stories.

Yes there are people who will exaggerate or come up with out-right lies but I cannot say what is a lie and what isn't.

I just have to research information on the org and it's doctrines for myself. That is the only way I'll ever know the real truth.

How Many Young People That You Knew Are Still Active JW's???

most of the jw young people that i have known are either inactive, irregular, or "out of the truth" completely.

very, very few are still associated as witnesses now.

are there any zealous young people out there anymore??

I believe there are only 2 out of 7 that are left at my old hall. Everyone else is either faded or DF'd

i have safley returned from my adventures across the ocean and happened to stumble and meet the german district overbier, german jw!!!

Yes and she will keep buying her lottery tickets because if she wins I can claim the prize and keep half, hey if that ever happens boy Im taking the ticket keeping it all and reporting her to the elders!
