Most of the JW young people that I have known are either inactive, irregular, or "out of the truth" completely. Very, very few are still associated as Witnesses now. Are there any zealous young people out there anymore???
How Many Young People That You Knew Are Still Active JW's???

3 of my friends are still in the truth, all in their 20's. One of those three has been disfellowshipped twice. Impressive huh? All of my other friends have been disfellowshipped or left.

Those that are still in, I bet, don't really believe. Nearly all of my daughters friends that still go infrequently have no desire to be there, but go for family or certain friends.

Of the 25 or so in the teen/early 20 range when I was a teenager, by my last count less than 10 remain active witnesses. Of those, at least 3 have been DF'd and later went back. The rest are either fades, or got DF'd & did not go back.

I haven't been at a KH for a while. But I remember a friend of mine who is an elder and has 2 kids. Both of them still go. They must be about 15 and 13.
I guess the next few years will determine what they'll do. I pity these children because all their family is in the JW's. They would be really alone and isolated if they left. These children have been robbed from their youth.

I believe there are only 2 out of 7 that are left at my old hall. Everyone else is either faded or DF'd

It seems that all but two JW kids with an unbelieving parent have left my old hall. The ones who have complete JW families are doing a better job of hanging in, naturally. I had one of those kids, an 18 year old, have the audacity to scowl at me, a middle ager, when I saw her at a store recently because I am inactive. I had always thought she was cool and just going through the motions because of her family but evidently not. Like the JW's say...."baby snakes grow up to be big snakes."

If these types of stats keep coming up, this religion will die off soon.

Recently, I heard complaints and sadness expressed over the fact that there are almost no more whole families in the "truth". I started thinking about the last 15 years in the congregation. Out of about 35 families, only 2 families are still "in the truth". One 30 year old male still lives at home, infrequently attends meetings and is irregular in preaching. All the others have left the "truth". Amazing, isn't it???

When I was growing up, there were a lot of young people in my congregation. I counted 30 who were within 6 years of my age (a twelve year span in total).
Of that group, 18 are completely gone, and cannot be considered JWs in any way. Three are adamant JWs (elders or elder's wives). Four are marginal witness (regular, but just barely). One are irregular, and four are inactive. That's about 25% retention, depending on how you define retention.
If you go one more generation, you find that all three of the elders or elder's wives did not have any children. So, the next generation will be down to 10% or less.
It appears that the waters under the great harlot are indeed drying up.
