all the elders i knew were married, wonder if power in the congregation attracts women.....

I knew this one elder, a freakin know-it-all type that was a total a-hole. As far as I know he is still single.

He became an elder in his early thirties, something like 32 or younger even. Boy did that go to his freakin head.

Do you brag?

i find this to be one of the most unattractive traits a person can have.

i mean sure we all get excited when something good happens to us or someone we love and we want to share it with others.

but i hate it when people try to glorify themselves.

My mom was doing this tonight. She always brags about her kids. I hate when I hear her doing this. It's not a healthy pride, it is so arrogant.

My father brags but in a different way. He does it because he is truly proud of his kids at times. It seems my mom does it to make herself look good.

does anybody out there have a letter that they wrote and that i could kind of use as an outline or even copy, if you don't mind?

The guy got defensive when I called to FDS hypocritical. He said I was wrong for condemning them. Isn't that funny? The FDS through the literature condemns everyone but j-dubs! I didn't respond to that like I should have. i really need to call back when I am better prepared. I was way too passive.

I guess so... we do have to live in the world and the world does have cookies. Why not eat them? There is no proof in scripture that Satan himself made cookies. Or is there?

Somebody must have got my information here from a thread where I posted my email address.

I got an email from this person, telling me how the UN coverup was exaggerated and just a big joke.

Even with the proof right in front of their eyes people still don't get it.

This person said I could call the WT info desk and they would explain everything to me. I wrote back saying, that is what I already did and the WT rep tried to explain but their excuses were not acceptable.

The more I think about the conversation with the WT rep the more I see how deceitful the WT is.
He was already prepared with all his answers, I didn't even get a chance to ask the questions.

He said some people think we are hiding this but we just do not want to "dignify" it by responding to it in writing.

I know it's a hard pill to swallow but in my opinion you are better off ending the relationship. I do not think there is one perfect person out there for anyone. As someone said you will love again.

Relationships are hard enough even when you have the same religion. You two, as long as she's a witness, will never be truly united.

I hope you joing our meetup group at the end of the month.

How does your girlfriend feel about it all?

i like sports, i watch basketball, baseball, soccer but football..... just cannot get into it.

i never care enough to try and understand the game, the rules.

ok as you have gathered im a wittness and i for one beleave we have the truth.not saying every thing is or has all ways been right because we live in a imperfect world with imperfect people.but as far as jehovah being god and jesus being his son.and the coming war of arrmegeddon.i would say we have the truth.i no about all the mistakes and misunderstandings we have had in the past.but i feel that is past and we have moved on.and abandoned i no what you all say about the year 607 being wrong but that date all deapends on it desolation was 70 years or not.so im just trying to understand how some of you say you lernt you was being lied to?
