  What ended your first relationship?

  i'm in a relationship now and its my first serious one.

  she keeps telling me that she's scared because she believes i'll eventually get bored with her and start wondering how it feels like with other women.

  so she wants me to hook up with other girls when she goes out of the country for the fall semester.. personally i dont want to, but this is making me wonder, in the average person's first ,serious relationship, whats the cause of the breakup?

  Too Dang HOT!!

  i just stepped out into my back yard and thought i was going to melt.

  i was going to fill up the inflatable pool for my son, but by the time it gets filled up, the water will be about 90 and not worth the bother.

  i'm sure that other california people can relate to this.

  Oh MY GOD! IT IS FREAKIN HOT! I cannot handle the heat well at all. I get so angry and moody. My poor fiance gets the worst of my insane behavior in hot weather. I'm trying really hard to be in a good mood by the time he gets home from work today. I went outside several times today and cooled down my babies (dogs) AND Myself w/ the water hose. It really helps. I can come back in and do a little work. Then when I can't take it any longer I go back outside to hose myself off. LOL We don't have AC here. It's almost time for me to go back outside.

  Who are you looking for?

  do you find yourself scanning the posts of new ones here hoping in the back of your mind that it's a friend or relative who has finally "seen the light"?.

  there are several people i am always watching for.... my best friend from high school, the only friend i was allowed to have since she was the only girl my age in the kh.

  and my brothers... extremely bright and intelligent guys, but very wrapped up in gaining my fathers and the congregations approval.

  Anyone would do for me too. Just today my niece told me about someone i used to know that doesn't go to meetings anymore. The rumor is she is a lesbian and stopped going to the KH. I wish I could run into old friends that left b/c they couldn't live the life of a dub anymore b/c of their sexual orientation. I feel so bad for these ones. My heart really goes out to them, especially the ones I know that are still dubs and supressing their true self.

  Asked my Book Study group a question......................

  There is no scrptural basis for their reasoning on this . . . They just use their so-called logic and speculate. If I recall correctly the thought on this matter is:

  Were you ever made an example of off the platform of your KH?

  when i was in my teens, i had spent the night at a jw's girlfiriend's house.

  we stayed up most of the night but were required to get to the kh the next morning for the sunday meeting.

  i sat in the back row and apparently nodded off.

  Went to a witness party....oh, excuse me, "gathering" over the weekend.....

  the mrs. and i were invited to a "gathering" this weekend.

  was just supposed to be some friends getting together for some food and fellowship.

  when we arrived, there were a bunch of jw's in the back yard(50 to 100) and the music was pumping loud(not that i minded{smile}).

  Well for the record there are some wholesome parties here in CA where you sing kingdom melodies, play bible charades, and other bible games. I wan't very cool as a dub and was normally invited to the more "wholesome" parties. A few times though I was lucky enough to get invited to a cool party.
