Thanks LB: I don't kid myself about it. In the end the GB have much more resources than I do. I will win some battles but they the war. Not unlike the Civil War of the 1860's. But they will have to earn it! I would love to put a dent in the criminal shunning practices this apostate group promote as LAW! I will not go quietly into the night. I liken my stand to that of Henry David Thoreau. Waldo Emerson came to see Henry in jail and asked him why was he in there. And Henry replied by asking why was Waldo out there and not in jail with him! They both agreed of the same principles, they just had different ways of expressing them. Yours, Maverick

Dear SaintSatan: Please don't be too optimistic about the shunning part. If the J-duds get it in their pin heads that you are disloyal to the Governing Body then they will treat you as an apostate. Dedalus is right. The net result in practical terms is the same as DF or DA. I just like being a pain in the rear.
Dear JT: I am a test case and I am kicking them hard and giving them as much trouble as I can. They tried to trick me into meeting with them. If I had done that they could claim I am still acting as any member would and therefore the BN letter is for not!
Dear Dedalus: Any comment from you is a complement. You keep me on my toes and I admire that. Thank you for helping Blondie.
Dear LB; We both know the GB is not going to let this slide. I have been E-mailing family declaring victory and telling my loved ones that they are to treat me as any other family member who was never a Witness. I know these ones will write to Brooklyn, (Mother!!!) and ask what to do. Good! I'm not done with that bunch yet! I send out letters to witnesses who call my office wanting my services not realizing my "stand". I ran into one today, at home depot no less. He did not know who I was, but was asking my advice on something. When I gave him my card and he told me his name, at that moment, we both realized who was who! We had a nice conversation until I started talking about those apostates in New York. I told him I have no problem with individual Witnesses just the pharisee Governing Body! He was at Bethal for many years and knew Knorr and Henschel and both Franz. He didn't think much on Ray,( big surprise)! I talked about the 1914 bull shit and started in on the unloving, unchristan practice of shunning and he started to squirm. So I dropped it and told him I would gladly give him any technical advice he needed and we would just leave the religious stuff alone. He agreed, ya right! I am sure he will be phoning home about our little encounter! Maverick, who just fired on Fort Sumter!

I mailed out the Baptism Nullification letter to Brooklyn on the 16th of Jan. And I did a mass mailout on the 17th of Jan. I was waiting until the CO's visit to see what would happen. Well, that was the week of Feb.17th and here is what has happened. Not one word officially.
The PO of the Hall I last attended called on the 19th of Feb. and left a message on my voice mail. He was very sweet and friendly and said he was just checking on me as he had not seen me in a while,(a year and a half). He said the CO was visiting that week and he would like to talk to me. I do not know which " he" was being referred to, the PO or the CO. Neither of these characters got a letter in Jan. I did that on purpose. Leave them in the dark. I called back and left a message on the PO's voice mail asking him why he was bothering me and why would I care if the corporate inspector was visiting his Hall? I am not now, nor ever was, a member of his church! Then I sent the PO and the CO copies of the BN letter on the 20th. I sent the PO's letter to his wife just to piss him off! I put a note on the bottom of that letter asking her to tell her husband to stop pestering me as I am not involved with his church and as far as I was concerned, spiritually he was just a retired grocery clerk!
The CO's copy had a note on the bottom in which I explained that we both knew he was just a corporate inspector making sure corporate policy was being followed to the letter. And I asked him if he ever had a real job? He mailed that copy back to me without any reply.
At the Service Meeting the following week the PO got up to make an announcement. And it was with regard to paying for the CO's expenses! Nothing else.
I kicked these guy in the shins and they did nothing. I am hoping that the GB will have the writing department get out their scripture bender and stretcher and twist up something interesting in a future WatchTower study article. But the letter did all that I hoped it would. If anything changes I will keep y-all apprised. Maverick, may the South rise again!

Please advise!
by yesidid inif my husband and i were to shuffle off this mortal coil anytime soon there would be a fair amount of money to be divided between our witness relatives.
what do you think about this idea?.
we give everyone between $50,000 and $100,000 each on the condition that they read both of ray franz's books.

Very interesting concept. I think the conditions could be circumvented. Think how you would try to get around this requirement. The Governing Body pull this off on an international scale all the time. And a condition that none of the money be given the those theives in Brooklyn should be included in any such will. It will be contested and will be tied up for a long time. In the end only the lawyers will get the money. Just spend it and have fun. Give them nothing! Maverick

Theocratically Appointed "servants"
by zev inwell i got me a copy of the new wt 2001 cd rom, and started looking at it and learning how to use it.. this was the very first thing i stumbled across, which was a thing that always bothered me.
those of you who saw me and watched my phases as i left will remember that this topic was a major issue for me.. .
here is the article, in part:.

I find it interesting that the Holy Spirit is mentioned exclusively in the beginning and the Governing Body is shuffled midway in the article. Toward the end of the article, authority is transferred to the Governing Body as the out working of Holy Spirit. You could insert Governing Body in any place Holy Spirit is placed. Hey! What am I saying! They did that! And the GB, by inference, claim Apostolic authority. The article is written in a convoluted style to mix up the J-dud mind. Somewhere in this looping reasoning they just give up and let it flow in unimpeded. It is a prime example of, " If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit!" Maverick

You know, now that I think about it, I was a pretty damned nice Witness
by berylblue ina hell of a lot nicer than anyone else i knew.. and i'm only writing this because it's not really immodest because you don't know who i am.. i never went to the kh without some homebaked cake or cookies for the elderly ones, or a small gift for someone, or some cards telling someone how much i appreciated them.
the more i disliked a person, the harder i would try to befriend them.
usually, the reason i disliked them went away (not!

I mentioned once before that it appears the WatchTower drives out the best and the brightest, the artistic and the genuine the same way Europe drove those same kinds of people to America two hundred years ago. The drones and the insecure say behind. Once your eyes are opened there is little excuse to worship the mighty in Brooklyn! Maverick

I'm disfellowshipped, and I will partake at the Memorial.................
by Fruitcake inwell, nisan 14 is rolling around again, and i am going to partake at the memorial.. when i was a goodstanding jw last year, i really thought of the relationship i had with the christ, and partook, and they all had a cow.
but i had a good standing, so they pretty much left me alone.... well, surprise!!
i am now disfellowshipped, and some inner voice tells me to go back there one last time and partake, i am not doing this to be a pain, but to show the new congregation that i had belonged to, who i am, and to give others the courage to examine themselves, and their personal relationship with the christ.. i believe disfellowshipping is unscriptural, so i am confidant!!

I see why you had problems. You were a genuine Christian. You didn't fit in. I too, would bring the paper to the door. I was told it lacked dignity, I still did it. I guess I wasn't arrogant and petty enough to be a good Governing Body clone.Yours, Maverick

You're right , it is unapostate thinking. The Governing Body in Brooklyn are the true apostates. They usurp Jesus place as our mediator with God. They place themselves between us and all things Heavenly. They claim one thing and do the opposite! They say God will judge but tell the membership to treat dissidents as if Gods has already put them to death. You read in their mags. and hear at their meeting God's Organization this, and Faithful Slave that, and remain loyal to us or you will die, die, die. Give me a break! I got soooo tired of the gloom and doom and the phoney butt kissing and dopey smiles. I wanted to puke! Welcome to the unapostates Sherry, and I promise no goofy grin! Yours, Maverick

Got this letter
by Yesterdays Child inthroughout the years after having come to know through your marriage to my daughter you have been a very kind and thoughtful person, sometimes more than my own son.
i don't think that a mother-in-law could want a finer person for a son than you.
however, it is very unfortunate that i will have to change the way that i will relate to you now and in the future.

Wow! I am impressed by the range and and insight of the comments on this subject. Dear Yesterdays Child: Taking the high road is always a winner. In the short term it is not as satisfying, but over the long haul it has the greatest potential for good. The children are the weakest link, they need to be handled very carefully. The womans influence must be held in check! They won't miss what they never had but will feel bad if what they have come to expect is removed. Only you know where your mother-in-law fits within your childrens lives. The women is ill, she has mental deficiencies. The WTBS does that to people. As long as she lets the WTBS run her life she will be mentally unhealthy. Maybe the children will understand this, only you know their state of development. Love is a great motivation. Who needs your love more? Who can you help? Focus there and let the rest fade. I wish someone had told me this five years ago. Maverick
