Great response!
I met a sister in a bank a few months ago and she told me, "I know I haven't called on you guys but I have thought about you" and I said to her, well, how are we supposed to know you are only thinking about us.

i haven't been to a meeting in over a year, and as you know as soon as you stop attending meetings/fieldservice the "conditional" love becomes more apperant.
the coordinating elder starts off by saying how much he loves and misses me, etc.
i ask him, when was the last time you called or texted me?
Great response!

i was always told that god did loads of stuff that was evidence of his existance.
ususally very brutal things too (b#st@rd).. jesus walked on water and raised the dead we are told.. it seems to me also that the older the story, the more exaggerated it is...y'know...talking snake......global flood.. there are those that claim god speaks to them now and they alone 'know' it.
(cuckoo!!!).
I do believe in God for my own personal reasons, but I have no explanation for why he has abandoned this planet.
When the Daniel's prophecy book was released in 1999, I couldn't wait to find out information on the "King of the North" and the end times prophecy. I thought there would be new information. There was not.
There was all the hype about the Millenium Bug that year. People were fearful something would happen.
Then there was 9/11.
Fast forward 13 years and here we are in 2014.
None of us JWs and exJWS for one moment thought that we would be on this side of this system in the 21st century.
The end was always near, but never here.
Consider this:

“There Will Come Ridiculers With Their Ridicule”
6 Despite the urgency of the situation, most of earth’s inhabitants are not concerned about the approaching “day of Jehovah.” They mock and ridicule those who warn them of its imminent arrival. True Christians are not surprised by this. They remember the warning recorded by the apostle Peter: “You know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: ‘Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.’”—2 Peter 3:3, 4.
Since the time this scripture was written, both "the ridiculed and the ridculers" have been dead for 2,000 years.
What are we to think?
And that is why people have lost their faith in God, they see two milleniums have passed and there has been no intervention by God in Earth's affairs.
I did start reading the series "Conversations with God" and found it to be a very interesting, alternative perspective for why God allows bad things to happen.
i bought my ticket to the movie screening for tomorrow at a movie theater in nyc.
it should be interesting, can't wait.. there will be a lot of xjw's there, i actually can't wait..
I'll be there too!

23 April 2013
Police are appealing for witnesses after the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, Flansham Lane in Felpham was subjected to religiously aggravated criminal damage overnight between Thursday 11 April and Friday 12 April. Parts of the wall of the building were splattered with red, white and black paint and some of the graffiti included swastikas and the word 'CULT'. Detective Constable Ellie Hughes from West Sussex CID said: "Sussex Police take criminal damage of this nature very seriously and we are determined to bring to justice the person(S) responsible for such a mindless act. "Officers have speaking to the local community and I would encourage anyone with information no matter how relevant they think it is, to please contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 401 of 12/04 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111." A 45-year-old man from Littlehampton has been arrested on suspicion of religiously aggravated criminal damage and has been bailed to 29 May pending further enquiries.
...at least that's what the sunday study said:.
"at the same time, we need to understand that our salvation is not jesus' primary concern.
his main purpose from the beginning to the end of his earthly ministry was to work for the sanctification and glory of his father's name".
If that is the case, then who will be left to care whether or not Jesus sanctifies his Father's name?
i made this chart three years ago, and in light of the 2014 watchtower study i decided it was time for further refinement.. this chart probably won't fit on a regular page.. .
feel free to distribute.. .

EndOfMysteries,
Thanks for the info. I have to wonder when does this all end? The generation has gone on for so long now it's not even funny.

"Just how long after 1914 the last living members of the body of Christ will be glorified, we are not directly informed, but it certainly will not be until their work in the flesh is done; nor can we reasonably presume that they will long remain after that work is accomplished."

"The Time of the End," Or "Day of his Preparation"
The "Time of the End," a period of one hundred and fifteen (115) years, from A.D. 1799 to A.D. 1914, is particularly marked
in the Scriptures. "The Day of His Preparation" is another name given to the same time period, because in it a general
increase of knowledge, resulting in discoveries, inventions, etc. paves the way to the coming Millenium of favor, making ready
the mechanical devices which will economize labor, and provide the world in general with time and conveniences, which under
Christ's reign of righteousness will be a blessing to all.
The last forty years of the Time of the End is called the "End" or "Harvest" of the Gospel age, as we read, "The Harvest is the END of the age."
Though our information pointing out the date of this period is unfurnished in Daniel's prophecy, we know that he understood nothing at all
concerning it, as he said: "I heard but I understood not." In answer to his anxious inquiries he was told that the words were closed up and
sealed until The Time of the End.
It follows, therefore, that no one could understand the prophecy before 1799; and before leaving the subject we shall show that the prophecy
indicates that it would not begin to be understood before 1829, nor reach a clear unfolding until 1875.
