Everything about the JWs points exclusively to Jehovah, the God of the Old Testament.
Jesus hardly gets a mention. They can't ignore him completely but isn't it interesting that the only publication they produced about Jesus, doesn't even have his name on it. It's simply called "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived"
I was watching the "Caleb" animation documentary on JW.org. Not once did I hear the word Jesus. Not once. And at the end, some young kids said, "Thank you Jehovah"
It's really freaky to watch.
Look at some other ways JWs are similar to Old Testament Judaism
Approach to God
JWs are taught that Jesus is not their mediator. That we have the Governing Body as a mediator. We can only be friends of Jehovah through his undeserved kindness.
Christianity teaches that everyone can have a relationship with Jesus and he can be freely approached, that God is his father.
Works or Grace?
JWs are a "works based" religion. Even if you spent 90 hours a month talking about Jehovah, it matters not if you don't hand in your time sheet. Only a business would require its employees to report their time and only a business would promote an employee for working his butt off. An elder once told me that the "Circuit Overseer won't look at any brother whose hours are less than 10". You have to preach their message or risk being labelled blood guilty for not warning the wicked, i.e. anyone who is not a JW.
Christianity - we are saved by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8 says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
