  7/15 WT- Insane, Far Fetched, Narcissistic "New Light " about the FDS

  i know this article has been discussed, re-hashed upside down in past threads.

  but there were at least 2 points i discovered in here that i felt were pertinent and important to bring out concerning the total control and narcissistic tendencies that these wt leaders possess on the governing body, i.e.

  alleged " faithful slave " .

  Then in paragraph 10 it states, " Throughout the last days, the anointed brothers who make up the faithful slave HAVE SERVED TOGETHER AT HEADQUARTERS. In recent decades, that slave has been closely identified with the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. " O.K. Now isn't THAT convenient ? Just because they've served at WT headquarters they consider themselves the " faithful slave " ?

  I was discussing the article and the new"understanding" with my JW friend.

  She didn't know what I was talking about. She asked if we read the same article. She had to go home and reread it.

  She told me afterwards that she always assumed that the GB was the FDS class. She couldn't understand why I had a problem with it.

  I think many will feel the same way because they think God is directing the GB. I am uncomfortable with so few having so much power. Who is going to hold them accountable? You are right they just expect us to take their word for it.

  I was taught to always listen to their direction because it was coming from god. I never thought to ask: who says? How do we know?

  I find I am looking at things in a different way and it is scary.

  i know that a lynch mob forms whenever there's a hint of anybody being a pedophile, but the truth is that not all are the slavering, predatorial animals that they are painted to be.

  each circumstance has its' own specifics.

  in defense of the wts, they do keep track of confirmed pedophiles now.

  i have been lurking for a few days and have decided to give it a try.

  the subject of child abuse caught my eye.

  How is your mother? Have you left the JWs?

  My motheris still in. One of the reasons I keep coming back. I keep thinking that there must be something to the "Truth" to keep her in. She is so strong minded.

  I was baptizedc at 12. I realized I had doubts when I was 16. My mom had me study with a sister. I moved out of town when I was 19. I tried to fit in with the local cong. End up getting reproved.

  Stopped going. Started going again. Married a non-believer-best thing I ever did.

  Been married for 26 years. I spent that time coming in and out. I think 1 foot was always out the door. I feel like my whole life has been spent doing the hooky pooky....you put I foot in...you take one foot out... you do the hooky pooky ....and you turn yourself around.........that's what it's all about.

  We have to be competing when we comment at the meeting, or go home to a beating....

  We're the Elder's family.

  We were taught how to lie, to give him an alibi, make sure no one sees us cry......

  We're the Elder's family.

  No one else will ever know, no dispair or fear must show, where else would we go....

  We're the Elder's family.

  Instead of showing shame...the devil he will blame...We must protect Jehovah's name..

  Don't peer into the past , despair creeps in too fast.. hope this pain doesn't last
