Spoof Watchtower covers
by dmouse inas i was accessing my files on strike9 i noticed what i thought was a watchtower cover in the random files window.. i checked it out and found it was a user called 'gita' the files have public access so i don't think i'm breaking any laws by posting this.. i thought it was pretty funny and worth sharing (if you're watching, gita, forgive me!).
i seem to remember another site that does this sort of spoof cover.
can anyone tell me the address please?

Simon and Angarahad, you've worked some magic here. Don't see myself posting much anymore, but the job is done, and I got you to be obliged to.

Will The Pope Just Die Already!
by xjw_b12 inin the newspaper today there was an article on pope john paul's visit to crotia.
this is his 100th pilramage, in his 83rd year.
in 2 weeks he is scheduled to go to bosnia, where i doubt he'll get as warm as a reception as he did in croatia.

The Church of Rome has never been one of rapid change, and after 2000 years, I'm not sure it is even capable of it at all. In that light, John Paul II's time as Pope has been of great importance and on the whole, of betterment to the Catholics. In a broader sense, it will take such persons as John Paul II to continue the spirit of ecumenalism, which leads to peace.
All to often people get worried about the headliner details such as priestly abuse, which is, honestly, of minor importance when taken in a worldwide context.

Second largest religious group is....
by Beans inwell i saw a show on tv tonight and the survey they did stated that the second largest religious group in canada was people with no religion, yes 16.2%, 5million canadians have no religion!
and what i always wondered was also confirmed that the majority of these people are under 35 which does not surprise me at all, i mean i only know one family who attend church as i am in this age frame at 34. .

dharma remains eternal, even if the means it is conveyed changes. I don't worry much whether people assign the label religion to them or not.

I've done (and probably will do) some volunteer work for International Gita Society in the past on some web functions. Gita in this case is short for Bhagavad Gita, (Gita means song), Satsangha basically means when a groups of people get together and discuss something. So gitasatsanga is something like a play on biblestudy.
Anyway, I was in a hurry when I signed up.
