  uhoh! getting married!

  well mike and i have set a date.

  september 2005.. by that time we will have saved up $11,000 for the wedding (which will not be so expensive) and a honeymoon in rome!!!

  i am so excited, i have never been on a plane or out of the country (except to canada which does not count since i live in maine).. we are very happy...we have known for a while we were going to get married, and our conversation evolved from:.

  JT,

  I agree with you in part, in that using this information to sway current JWs (and I don't believe in swaying currend JW's anyway), is counterproductive. It does boost the idea of all "apostates" as crazed lunatics (see several posts above for an example of one). However, I do think that there is something to the images. The larger images actually would have been easier to spot the "easter eggs" in, had anyone been looking. Sometimes the easiest place to hide something is in plain sight.

  it may or may not have some sort of effect on you or anyone else is not the key point. It is the intent, purpose and or motivation of the artist or whomever that speaks volumes about what the WTBTS is really about.

  Occult is by its very definition, hidden. I don't use the term occult to mean anything negative, but in this instance, its hard to believe the watchtower has any good intention. I don't have a clue why these images keep getting out. Perhaps someone in the art department enjoys playing games on the dunderheads at the top who have no clue. But just as a postulation, typically secret symbols convey a lot of meaning for the actual recipient, and the actual recipient is not at all obvious.

  Is this some joke-news website like The Onion? I have no other news source that has Michael Moore saying anything like that. He certainly doesn't say it on his website, and I've found no link on cnn, ap wire. I found that story reposted elsewhere, but never with any kind of press link or credit, so I guess its just BS.

  dear friends,.

  of course, the jw doctrine says "no" to a connection between un and the watchtower society.. but: my personal opinion as a long-time witness is that this was a ultimate chance for the society to change things for good: the wts as a ngo, helping many people in the world to improve their lives, just as they did on a small scale with aidafrique in africa and asia earlyer.. why did the wts disconnected from un so soon after the guardian-story?

  now, there are only losers, no winners: the wts, with all the pr-problems on this subject now, but more important, the many people who could be helped with a wts/unhcr aid-program or an aidafrique/unhcr aid-program.. the reaction of disconnecting so soon as possible was not a professional act!.
