Assuming there were only 100,000 USA baptized publishers at that time, (and I don't have and facts, just supposition), if 2% was the number DF'd that is 2000 people cut off all at once. (not counting the regular attrition rate due to regular stuff like apostacy, inactivity and sex) I believe Blondie though, which means it was probably an even larger number.

I need help in writing a letter to disassociate myself
by kelpie inwhere do i start??.
i recieved a letter from mum in the mail yesterday telling me that the door will always be open etc etc but she has to put jehovah first.
she would do anything for me but nothing that would ruin her relationship with jehovah.. of course i broke down and started crying.

I agree, Ash. I tried the fade thing, for awhile, and I have seen other's do it too. But in the end, you always end up trying to be secrative, and always being worried about the elders. To hell with that, just send in a letter severing ties.

but tonight i was thinking it must be almost 6 years since diana was killed in that car crash in paris, and i was thinking about the outpouring of grief that happened not just here, but around the world.
i never was one of the ones that went to london on the day of her funeral as at the time i was flying back from a holiday in turkey, but i remember it appearing in newspapers out there and people of different nationalities coming up to me and expressing their condolences, particulary this french bloke hugging me whilst i was sitting around the pool a couple of days after the crash!.

Make sure you sign your letter, or they will send it back months later saying they can't proceed until you sign it.
