How can we help Lakers? Its a very puzzling questions. The main problem is that they've made some bad trades and have very little hope of attracting fresh talent for awhile. Conventional wisdom says to go at it like last year and hope for the best. Shaq won't need surgury in the summer, so he will be ready to go, as will Kobe. So they won't be so slow into the beginning of the season. But the problem of depth on the bench remains. Hire people with the numbers and the experience. As a suggestion I would probably try to attract another big Forward. Yes I am suggesting they get Karl Malone. he has the depth and experience that can help the Lakers out next time around. As goes Scottie Pippen. The advantage of bringing Pippen on as a free agent is that he has a lot of previous experience being coached by Phil Jackson. It should be noted, Karl "The Mailman" Malone has made a direct statement about wanting to be on a championship caliber team if he remains in the NBA.

i was watching a sports channel last night and an nfl-europe game came on between the scottland claymores and the amsterdam admirals.
the stadium was huge (regular football stadium) but it looked like about 500 people were in attendance.

Yet Another Question For People in Europe

i was watching a sports channel last night and an nfl-europe game came on between the scottland claymores and the amsterdam admirals.
the stadium was huge (regular football stadium) but it looked like about 500 people were in attendance.

This goes into the whole football-soccer thing. I was watching a sports channel last night and an NFL-Europe game came on between the Scottland Claymores and the Amsterdam Admirals. The stadium was huge (regular football stadium) but it looked like about 500 people were in attendance. They had to pipe in phoney crowd noise through the PA system. I haven't ever paid much attention to NFL-Europe till now (though one of my favorite college players is over there.. for Rhein Fire, I think). It looked like all the players were just rejects from American teams, sent over to improve their game. Didn't see what I would think would be a European playing there (but who knows)
Does anyone in Europa actually watch NFL-Europe or is it just a joke over there? Is there enough interest in American style football (someone told me its called Gridiron over there) to actually support these teams?
