Did You Stifle a "Gift" That You Could Have Grown Because You Were A JW?
by minimus ini see a lot of talent here.
those that love music, poetry, literature,etc.......do you feel that if you weren't a witness, that you could have grown in your talent or "gift"?

Yep. But I can also thank my parents for that one, too.
"I was just following orders."

Netscrape is dead !
by Simon in... and it's long overdue imho.
aol have agreed to license ie for the forseeable future (at least 7 years) and have also signed up for media player 9 which must represent a major blow to real player and apple.
the two companies have also agreed to cooperate on im which should be good news for all of us (i guess yahoo won't have any option but to cooperate also or be left out).

adding to the pantheon of the Hebrews we have the Patriarch.. the creator as it were of he Hebrews
his name is Abraham, his wife is Sarai or Sarah
something like Brahma and Sarasvati (or Sarai-Svati)
There is a river in India named the Sarasvati and it has a tributary named Hagar.
In the Bible it says that Abraham called Sarai his sister at times. In some forms of Hindu mythology Brahman divided himself in half, creating a female and a male part. The male became his wife Sarasvati.
Bearing in mind the Vedas appear to be much older then the Bible, it could be that the tradition of Abraham and Sarai was passed down in some way from the Indus civilization or the later Vedic civilization.
Brahma is not actually worshipped in Hinduism. Neither is Abraham in any form of Judaism, and yet they are both keystones to both religions.

1984 is crucial reading (even though the American equivalent of Big Brother operates with more finesse)

The green "Family Life" book had some detailed instructions on coitus, but the positioning was wierd. IIRC it involved both partners lying on their sides facing each other (at least I am pretty sure it involved facing each other, though it would work more easilly the other way). Holy Awkward Sex Positions, Batman! Too much difficulty with too little payoff. I almost wish I still had that book to find that quotation.
Of course NWT Proverbs has that "with her own breasts be intoxicated" bit, which opens up the whole JW approved sex activities.

It's a very terrible thing to see that picture. Sad that shortsided Americans allowed our freedoms to be cashed in on an empty promise of security.
