Outlaw: Obviously you are unable to keep up with the thread, the thread title is clear. The opening post provided the answer to that question, the answer in case you are still struggling is no it did not. From that point on in the tread it was pointed out the wtbs has refined its approach to this matter (new light) and farkel made a attempt to discredit the wtbs new stance on jesus prophecy regarding earthquakes.

I ignored farkels questions? Farkels logic on this is floored, his whole raving post is founded on his twisting of the word perceive and his lack of understanding of the meaning of it.

The question needs to be asked is, why hasent farkel responded the the accusation he twisted what the wtbs said and meant?

Maybe since he has not you would like to?

Outlaw: I dont deny they have changed their intepretation of this, what i challanged was farkel clearly adding spin and misintepration of what the wtbs now beleives,IE: Perception = scared, yeah right!!!!. It is clear you have no response for my post to farkel and it appears he has none either. R

Then you insightfully add:

It seems to me you need to read your dictonary.....lets see.....

Perceive:

1) "To attain awareness or understanding"

2) " To become aware of through the senses"

So lets get it straight the wtbs is NOT saying as you wrongly claim "how scared people will be".

The wtbs is saying that people will perceive these earthquakes in a different manner than previously. They will perceive (attain awareness or understanding) that these are a not run of the mill occurances.

For example: If an eathquake was to strike twice a day, every day in each continent for the next week would people not perceive/view " become aware through the senses that" that this was something special/worrying.

So it is not as you wrongly say how scared people become, rather how people understand these earthquakes that happen in way that has not occured before.

I got my Memorial invite...!

see i wasn't forgot or overlooked, even after all this time, and i'd be delighted to attend, i'm not active as a jw as i've stated before, and i can appreciate that most here wouldn't be seen within 500 yards of a kh on the 16th april, and you know what thats fine, there's alot to be said for following your consciense.

but what really gets my gall is how some can post a question to the forum (via a sickly letter to randall waters) about whether they should "picket" the memorial this year, or turn up and "munch the crakers and wine- like the honey munster" (a tired one by now) etc etc, i mean for goodness sake, get a life, what is it that bothers you so much?

is it that near on 16 million people will be attending that sticks in your throats, or that people may just want to go of their own accord.

There has been picketing at the memorial in my locality for a few years.

Everybody has the right to voice their opinion and it comes down to why they are picketing. It is evidnet that many on here feel they have been emotionally and spiritualy let down by the wtbs and many are hurting, so i feel that there is nothing wrong with picketing for those reasons and having the chance to stand up and help release those feelings.

On the other hand there are those that will picket for the sake of it, to prove the wtbs wrong and expose the wtbs and seek to cause disruption. The whole point of picketing is to get your point accross and by picketing in this manner you are acheiving nothing, the jws will see this as persecution and further evidence that they have the truth.

Outlaw/brummie: just a quick one before i post back to stinky.....would you please point out for me in the bible where it says jehovah does not keep a record of people. Yes he is forgiving as you rightly quote and if we have been forgiven then he will not turn around and use our past sins against us. Maverick said god forgives and the wtbs keeps a record i was mearly stating that god keeps a record too and it does not mean keeping one means not forgiving.... the keeping of records on people is not judgemental, it is just an administrive tool of goodhouse keeping, would you expect your employer not to keep a record of you? of course not!! and likewise the wtbs does the same.
