Yes, I feel very fortunate. Two sets of elders from two congregations feel the same way about treating me as wordly family. Imagine that! My elder brother does not feel the same. He thinks I should be cast out of the family. Had we ever been close this might hurt me. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen/talked to him in the last 12 years. We don't even know each other. THe elders from the congregation I used to attend know me better than my own brother. An elder from my sister's hall who doesn't even know me said there are rare times when one can nullify their baptism and my case may qualify. I will be calling the branch office this week.

I must say though the four elders my family encountered have really touched my heart.

sometimes people make special connections to animals.

sometimes they bond very deeply and are real friends.

yesterday was the end of such a friendship that lasted ten wonderful years.

I'm so incredibly sorry. I was in tears reading this.

I have two large, sweet, and loyal dogs of my own and they are 10 and 11 now and I am dreading the day we have to say goodbye to them.

I found out a little more detail of what the elders actually told my family. They said if I want to be treated as a wordly person it is understandable considering the circumstance and how young I was when I got baptized. They said and how do we treat wordly ones . . . as poeple lost and needing Jehovah's mercy and grace. You continue to preach to them in hopes they will find Jehovah. It certainly does seem like these two witnesses are following the example of Christ. Too bad this isn't how the GB sees it.

What! My elder brother does not agree. He believes my family should not be associating with me at all. I'm lucky I get a simple greeting and hug from him when I see him which is almost never.

my wife and i teamed up and had 5 children between 1966 and 1978 (she did the hard part) we never knew the sex until the the little sweety was born.. now days, we know if we're having another grandson or grandaughter months before they're born.. big difference.. names = male or female?

better have one or the other ready for the birth cert.

info.. clothes are not that critical.

I found out the sex at about 14 weeks thru a blood test. You can know if it's a boy or girl if a sigleton pregnancy that early. But if it's twins/multiples and there is a Y Chromosome you'll only know you are having at least one boy. But with fertility treatments these days you can almost guarantee the sex.

Crazyguy, I'm really surprised too. I guess because it has been so long since I've been an active witness. And I made it clear I was not trying to change their beliefs. It is just they are not mine and never have been. I told them I do not hate God and Jdubs. All truth. They were told it is okay to treat me as "wordly family". I don't know how many elders but I think there were at least two. I'm not sure who the other was.

So basically I had a JC meeting and I only had to apprear thru text messaging. Lol! Maybe this congregation is going to secede from the union.

Update:

All my family is back and agreed to treat me as a wordling. LOL!!! Cray people. now I'm wondering why I bothered. Perhaps I should have counted my lucky stars and let them walk away.

Okay: So if the elders say you are alright then you are alright. The elders told them they are going about this all wrong. I was very young when I got baptized and under the past circumstances my views are understandable. It is okay to treat me as wordly family. Never mind using your own conscience and brain to make this decision.

They talked to the elders before their mtg last night and told them everything I've been saying to them. I wonder if they were actually passing around their phones letting them read my messages.

I sucessfully nullified my baptism in the mind/hearts of some. I'm quite impressed with these elders. One of them is an elder my brother went to with the UN/NGO scandal I presented them years ago. He told my brother he would research it and get back to me. He never did get back to me.

But if the elders change their minds well I guess there goes my family again. Oh well, all I can do is try and make our relationships more meaningful and enjoy them now.

I feel good because I stood my ground and didn't retract my beleifs. I considered trying to manipuate the situation a little but I realized it wasn't worth it.

I have a two people still talking to me and one trying to decide. I had to retract apostate (but not cult). Really that was no problem because I am not an apostate in truth. I cannot abandon a faith I've never held. Thanks, to you good people here for poitning that out to me. :)

I just google my name and my cell number and found posts I've made here. How do I delete my account? Is there a way to block that from it appearing in search engines if someone else were to google it?
